Catholic Bishops Oppose Pro-abortion Obamacare

Demoliars Advocates of Obamacare have asserted that U. S. Catholic bishops are on their side. But now those same bishops have made it very clear that the Senate bill’s funding of abortion (And the Senate bill is the current template.) makes Obamacare unacceptable and an evil to be opposed.

The U. S. Conference of Catholic Bishops issued a statement saying so and asked for the statement to be read at parishes. (RC readers, was it read at your parish? Post in the comments.)

Good Bishop Chaput has also spoken out, noting the “too often dishonest” nature of Obamacare advocacy.

And claims that Catholic bishops support Obamacare in its current baby-killing form are among the lies, along with claims Obamacare will reduce costs, reduce the deficit, not restrict your health insurance choices, etc. etc. etc.
