Tony Blair Wants Another Vote On Brexit, Of Course

Back in June, I warned:

By the way, my UK friends, if you vote incorrectly to actually leave the EU and manage to outvote the . . . Remain camp, you will have to vote again until you vote correctly.

Now guess what Tony the Traitor Blair wants?

The former Prime Minister said voters must be given the chance to change their minds on the EU and called for the losing Remain campaign to become the 'new insurgents'.
He wants a referendum to be held on the final deal Theresa May secures with Brussels before Britain officially leaves.

The UK cannot get out of the anti-democratic EU fast enough.  And let Tony Blair cross the channel and stay in the EU . . . for good.

DePaul Bans “Unborn Lives Matter” Posters

I present this as a sample of the mad speech-squelching evil occurring on college campuses - and as a sample of how “Catholic” institutions are running with said evil.

The President of DePaul, no less, banned “Unborn Lives Matter” posters because . . . bigotry.  I am not kidding nor exaggerating.

From President Rev. Dennis H. Holtschneider:

DePaul is a private Catholic institution, and we also are part of the academy.  By our nature, we are committed to developing arguments and exploring important issues that can be steeped in controversy and, oftentimes, emotion.  Yet there will be times when some forms of speech challenge our grounding in Catholic and Vincentian values.  When that happens, you will see us refuse to allow members of our community to be subjected to bigotry that occurs under the cover of free speech.

Thus the “Unborn Lives Matter” posters are supposedly “bigotry . . . under the cover of free speech.”

I have no polite words.

I could wax vehement on how such conduct by “Catholics” has affected my attitudes towards the Roman Catholic Church even from my youth.   But that would be a long post or two, trust me.  I’ll just say I find it better at this time to return my attention to Anglican studies.

P. S. I forgot to mention that "Black Lives Matter" posters hang in administrative windows at DePaul.  But that's not Black Racism or a double standard.

The bigot in this episode is "Rev." Dennis H. Holtschneider.

“No Facts” Behind Voter Fraud?

I would rather be focusing on academics as I began a course on Anglicanism yesterday.  But Obama having the gall to poo-poo the reality and danger of election fraud is something I cannot leave unanswered.  If you can stomach it, here is shameless Obama:

I say “shameless Obama” because he is the beneficiary of and likely connected to massive election fraud.  “No facts” behind accusations of election fraud?  Here’s some facts for starters.

In Philadelphia in 2012, Republican election watchers were illegally evicted from polling places.  (By the way, it is an indictment of the search engines, particularly Bing, that this story is hard to find now.  The link mentions reports of the evictions.  Trust me, they happened.  And a judge and the sheriff saw fit to intervene.)

And, lo and behold, the results from Philadelphia reeked of fraud.  In 59 voting divisions, the combined reported vote was 19,605 for Obama to 0 for Romney.  That’s zero, zilch, nada.

And Obama has the gall to tell us there are “no facts” behind accusations of a rigged election?

Not only that, Obama and/or his people have had up to 340 White House meetings with one Robert Creamer.  Robert Creamer has just been exposed by Project Veritas as behind election fraud and spent five months in federal prison for bank fraud back in 2006.

And there are numerous other ways Obama is connected to rigging elections.  Remember how his IRS targeted and muzzled Tea Party groups for the 2012 elections?  I do.

A proverb comes to mind about both Obama and Hillary:

This is the way of an adulteress:
she eats and wipes her mouth
and says, “I have done no wrong.”
Proverbs 30:20

Worst Case Scenario

Here’s a happy thought for the day.  What if Trump makes a comeback - and no question he is on a roll lately campaigning “unshackled,” and Hillary is an inviting target - and the election is close.  But Hillary wins, but with so narrow a margin in key swing states that questions of vote fraud and a stolen election arise.

What prompts this happy thought is all the reports already of vote fraud in swing states, particularly dead people registering in Virginia and zombies voting in Colorado.  The dead seem to come out for Election Day more than Halloween.  Not to mention all the non-citizens and ineligible felons who will surely vote.  Then there’s corrupt Philadelphia-style election judges.  And . . . well, this nightmare scenario is at least a possibility, is it not?  Election Day is scarier than Halloween!

And it would be a nightmare.  The country is already torn asunder.  Imagine if we had the notoriously crooked and unpopular Hillary “elected” with at least the widespread perception of a stolen election.  Imagine an illegitimate President Clinton.

I honestly do not feel comfortable fully imagining the ugliness in public.

Anyway, have a happy day.

CNBC “Reporter” John Harwood’s Links to Hillary Exposed in Leak

The numerous leaked e-mails that expose “reporter” John Harwood of CNBC practically being part of the Hillary Clinton campaign give three object lessons.

1.  The utter corruption and brazen bias of the so-called mainstream news media.  I don’t call it the Democrat News Media for nothing.

2.  I am so right sometimes, I amaze myself.  No I was not aware of just how tight Harwood was with the DemocRATS.  But I knew just from watching him that he was a Democrat hack.  These tweets, for example:

The latter tweet was prompted by him pretty much saying Trump lied when he said Hillary started the Birther stuff.  Yet it is videotaped common knowledge that Hillary floated the question of Obama’s birth during the 2008 campaign.

3. If you listen to me more and the manifestly corrupt Democrat News Media less, you will do well.

Hillary Dreams of Open Borders

From Hillary herself, thanks to WikiLeaks:

“My dream is a hemispheric common market, with open trade and open borders…”

That would be societal suicide.  Any nation with generous welfare benefits that allows just anyone to come in is inviting masses of people who want those benefits but who care nothing for and even oppose the culture of the host nation.  De facto open borders has thereby already deAmericanized California with destructive consequences, has done great harm to the United States as a whole, and has done great harm to the UK.

The United States is on the brink of losing its civic culture, the Constitution, and the rule of law - with open borders being an important culprit.

And isn’t that slightly more important than Trump’s locker room talk?

----

Note: I find Trump’s words 11 years ago offensive.  I’ve never talked about women that way myself and have found such talk repugnant for as long as I can remember.  But the dominant lack of perspective about said words is even more disturbing.

Holier Than Them

I’ve become a fan of A Catholic Thing.  A post there this morning is particularly incisive.  Anthony Esolen notes that we are very good at decrying the sins of other people, particularly in the past, such as slavery in the West and Nazism.

Though Esolen does not directly mention it, I think this part of what C. S. Lewis called the Modern Hubris, the delusion that we today are so much better and more enlightened than those of the past.

But we do not adequately appreciate the pressures put on societies to accept and cooperate with great public evils in the past.  And we downplay said pressures and our own weakness and public evils today.  I often look at today and see too much that resembles times of great evil in the past.  But I am surely a small minority.

Esolen identifies the great public evil today of the West to be the Sexual Revolution.  I’m not sure I agree.  But it cannot be denied that the Sexual Revolution has resulted in mass murder and mass madness, not to mention other forms of mass immorality and persecution of those who oppose these evils.  And how many are willing to lose their business or lose their job or to endure public ridicule and worse by refusing to go along to get along?

As the money paragraph from Esolen states:

…We are not called to oppose, notionally, comfortably, the characteristic evils of other ages, basking in the glow of a righteousness that costs nothing. We are called to suffer in opposing the characteristic evils of our age. And we will not begin even to conceive of how such a thing is possible, if we do not obey an authority that transcends mankind.
