A Reminder: Franken Stole His Way Into the Senate

With Al Franken widely expected to announce his resignation from the U.S. Senate today, now is a good time to remember that he should never have become a Senator in the first place.  He, George Soros, felons, and an army of DemocRATS stole his first “election” in 2008.

To the annoyance of some, I covered this back then.  One can find a sample of that here.

It is interesting that in all the TV news coverage I’ve seen so far, I cannot remember his first “election” to the Senate being mentioned as even controversial.  That is a bit important concerning his background, is it not?  If one is such a cretin to subvert democracy by stealing an election, one is capable of just about anything . . . including stealing sexual favors.

Elections have consequences.  Stolen elections have worse consequences.  Al Franken is surely Exhibit A in that regard.

CNBC “Reporter” John Harwood’s Links to Hillary Exposed in Leak

The numerous leaked e-mails that expose “reporter” John Harwood of CNBC practically being part of the Hillary Clinton campaign give three object lessons.

1.  The utter corruption and brazen bias of the so-called mainstream news media.  I don’t call it the Democrat News Media for nothing.

2.  I am so right sometimes, I amaze myself.  No I was not aware of just how tight Harwood was with the DemocRATS.  But I knew just from watching him that he was a Democrat hack.  These tweets, for example:

The latter tweet was prompted by him pretty much saying Trump lied when he said Hillary started the Birther stuff.  Yet it is videotaped common knowledge that Hillary floated the question of Obama’s birth during the 2008 campaign.

3. If you listen to me more and the manifestly corrupt Democrat News Media less, you will do well.

About Those Switched House Votes

Yesterday, there was quite a commotion on the floor of the House of Representatives about an amendment pushed by the Gay Mafia.  Several Republicans switched their votes to defeat it, which prompted Democrats to carry on and play the outrage game.

Oh, you want a less biased view of what happened?  Here is The Hill’s reporting:

The failed amendment would have effectively nullified a provision in the defense authorization that the House passed late Wednesday night. The language embedded in the defense bill states that religious corporations, associations and institutions that receive federal contracts can't be discriminated against on the basis of religion.

Democrats warn that such a provision could potentially allow discrimination against the LGBT community in the name of religious freedom. Maloney's amendment specifically would prohibit funds to implement contracts with any company that doesn't comply with President Obama's executive orderbanning federal contractors from discriminating against LGBT workers.

Thus what Republicans voted down was another attempt to put LGBT demands over religious freedom.  The Obama regime has already attacked religious freedom among the military and pushed political correctness and the LGBTQXYZ agenda in the armed forces as well.  The amendment would have furthered that.  A narrow majority in the House rightly said, “No.”

But that is not how it being reported.  Fakebook Facebook is yet again a negative example of media bias, describing the story this way in its trending section:

No mention of the religious freedom issues involved in the headline.  One would think it was all about the mean majority defeating the rights of those poor, put upon, LGBT people.

And elsewhere one has to dig deep to find out that the defeated amendment would have further eroded freedom of religion.  Even (especially?) a Google search is not as helpful as it should be to get to the heart of the matter - that this was a fight over freedom of religion.

But the LGBTQXYZ agenda is so much more important than Freedom of Religion to the “mainstream” media and Silicon Valley, don’t you know.

Anyway, although I have studies to attend to, I wanted to do my part to blow the cover off this spin from Silicon Valley and the “mainstream” Democrat news media.

Fed Judge Rules for Protecting Free Speech from Kamala Harris

Yes, I’ve been quiet this week.  I’ve been fighting off a virus or two, but am doing much better now.

I have some catching up to do, but want to present to you a ruling that protects, for now, the anonymity of donors to Americans for Prosperity.  California Attorney General Kamala Harris – yes, that feminazi again – sought to find out the names.

The ruling is worth reading in part because it itemizes several of the attacks and threats from Leftists against conservatives.  They move the judge to conclude, “this Court is not prepared to wait until an AFP opponent carries out one of the numerous death threats made against its members.”

This episode is quite an eye-opener on the predations of Leftist Brown Shirts . . . and on Leftist politicians like Kamala Harris who enable them.

She, of course, is appealing the ruling to the very liberal Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.  Her political opposition must be harassed and crushed.

By the way, if you had conservative activists engaged in the numerous instances of attacks and harassment listed in the ruling, do you think the noos media would be so quiet about it?

IRS Cover-Up Continues

Yes, the IRS Scandal may seem like old news (And I will get into one reason why in a minute.), but there has been an interesting development of late.   The Sixth U. S. Court of Appeals has openly showed they are fed up with IRS slowness to fork over key court-ordered documents.

Among the most serious allegations a federal court can address are that an executive agency has targeted citizens for mistreatment based on their political views. No citizen—Republican or Democrat, socialist or libertarian —should be targeted or even have to fear being targeted on those grounds. Yet those are the grounds on which the plaintiffs allege they were mistreated by the IRS here. The allegations are substantial: most are drawn from findings made by the Treasury Department’s own Inspector General for Tax Administration. Those findings include that the IRS used political criteria to round up applications for tax-exempt status filed by so called tea-party groups; that the IRS often took four times as long to process tea-party applications as other applications; and that the IRS served tea-party applicants with crushing demands for what the Inspector General called “unnecessary information.”

. . . At every turn the IRS has resisted the plaintiffs’ requests for information regarding the IRS’s treatment of the plaintiff class, eventually to the open frustration of the district court. At issue here are IRS “Be On the Lookout” lists of organizations allegedly targeted for unfavorable treatment because of their political beliefs. Those organizations in turn make up the plaintiff class. The district court ordered production of those lists, and did so again over an IRS motion to reconsider. Yet, almost a year later, the IRS still has not complied with the court’s orders. Instead the IRS now seeks from this court a writ of mandamus, an extraordinary remedy reserved to correct only the clearest abuses of power by a district court. We deny the petition.

And the court then more or less tells the IRS there had better be no more delays.

A federal agency caught targeting citizens based on their politics then being verrrrry slowwww to cooperate with the federal courts concerning the scandal to the point a Federal Appeals Court says they’ve had enough of the foot-dragging and cover-up.  Newsworthy, is it not?

The thing is the Mainstream “News” Media, particularly ABC, NBC, and CBS have joined the cover-up.  It has been over 513 days since any of the Big Three have reported on the IRS Scandal.

No wonder it seems like old news.  The Democrats and the Mainstream Noos Media (But I repeat myself.) want it that way.

Thus the IRS Cover-Up continues.

Imagine the media uproar if this were a Republican administration.

I could get a good rant on about the New York Times and the rest of the Democrat News Media, I really could.  But I have had trouble getting motivated to blog lately.  And my favorite political cartoonist Michael Ramirez summarizes the matter far better than I could.  So . . .

Knee Update:  The knee is worse than I had thought.  I definitely have a tear in my inside right meniscus, and it’s not a small one.  I did think I was getter better.  But it flared up badly and suddenly yesterday morning.  So it is hardly better than it was weeks ago.

Please pray for my spirits and for wisdom on how to proceed . . . and, yes, for the knee, too.

Report: Brian Williams Will Not Be Punished (I don’t believe it.)

Yes, there is a report out that Brian Williams will not be punished for his serial lies on his helicopter ride in Iraq.  But I do not believe it.  With even Tom Brokaw appalled and wanting Williams’ “head on a platter,” it is difficult for me to see how Williams can keep his job.  And surely NBC values its undeserved credibility more than that.

But one conservative devoutly hopes he does indeed keep his job, and it is hard for me to disagree.

If the network continues to keep a serial fabricator on board, it will convince many of those who still buy what the press is selling that something is fundamentally wrong. That would be a fantastic development, because something is fundamentally wrong. The self-described watchdogs have instead become the left’s gatekeepers. The sooner everyone appreciates that, the better it will be for all.

Perhaps the 15-point head start Evan Thomas once boasted that press bias often gives Democratic Party political candidates in contested elections might begin to disappear. Legislative proposals might once again be discussed on their merits instead of being pre-judged favorably or unfavorably based on who is presenting them. The whole truth about the nation’s dire financial and economic circumstances, its outrageous cronyism and corruption, and the two-party, one-mindset elitists who run it, might finally penetrate the minds of everyday, non-news junky Americans.

We can always dream. Keep that dream alive, NBC. Keep Brian Williams right where he is.

New York Times and Duke Libs: Cancel Annoying Democracy

I have long contended that Leftists only like democracy when they win.  Their eagerness to use the courts to overturn state referendums and laws with which they disagree is only one manifestation of their contempt for constitutional democracy.

Now the New York Times has just illustrated my contention by publishing an op-ed by a Duke professor and student titled “Cancel the Midterms”.

That is not a joke.  And, yes, when I first heard of this, I thought it might be an internet prank.  But this column is for real.  The authors really do think we should do away with midterm elections.

But I am sure that has nothing to do with the defeat Obama and Democrats got in 2010 and the one they may be about to get tomorrow.

Wouldn’t It Be Nice . . .

. . . If the Snooze Media paid half as much attention to Obama’s scandals, such as IRS targeting, Benghazi, Fast and Furious, etc. etc. as they are to attacking the NFL?

Methinks the Democrat News Media’s priorities are a bit off.

Democrat News Media: Clinton Hack to Become Chief Anchor at ABC News

Yes, this is something of a Dog Bites Man story.  But long-time Democrat hack George Stephanopoulos (Remember him from the Clinton White House?) is becoming the chief anchor at ABC News.  Yes, a Clinton hack just in time for Hillary’s White House run.  (David Muir will anchor the evening “World News.”)

Yes, too predictable.  But it gives me an opportunity to announce a new policy.  I will no longer call ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, The New York Times, etc. ad nauseam the “Mainstream News Media,” not even in scare quotes.  From henceforth, I will use “Democrat News Media.”  For that is what they are, and, unlike past days, they no longer make much of an effort to be unbiased or even appear to be unbiased.  Their coverage, if it can be called that, of the various Obama scandals, pretty much puts the last nail in the coffin of their credibility.  The vast majority of the time, they tilt or even suppress their coverage to advance the agenda of the Democrat Party.  Heck, they even engage in literally cheerleading Democrats as I noted two days ago.

(That CNN incident and “news” media treatment of the Obama scandals were the last straws for me, by the way, in prompting this blog policy change.)

They are hardly mainstream and have not been for years.  They are unofficial propaganda organs of the Democrat Party and should be treated as such.  And, henceforth, that is exactly what I will do.
