Why We Must Punish The Democrats

Yes, the title to this post is in the 19th Century school of candor in titling.  But this is a time for clarity, is it not?

But, no – and this may surprise – the main reasons why the Democrats must be punished in this election are not policy issues.  Parties have had significant policy differences almost as long as there have been political parties, but this country has muddled along and even thrived.

But now the problem with the Democrat Party goes to the core of how we do political combat itself.  For today’s Democrat Party refuses to accept the verdict of the Constitution and of the electorate unless they win.  They respect the rules of the American political game, if you will, only if they serve to give them victory.

With the marginal exception of 2004, have they respected a presidential election they’ve lost since 1988?  No.  And their response (and the response of a few RINO allies) to the 2016 election was the worst of all, engaging in a long coup which began with spying on Trump, aided by felonious FISA warrants, continued with threatening members of the Electoral College then a long investigation based on invented lies and culminating in a bogus impeachment.

In politics and government, you get more of what you reward.  We must not reward their perpetual coup; we must not reward this refusal to respect elections they don’t win, but must instead punish it.

I keep thinking back to the ugly Steelers-Bengals 2016 NFL playoff game as an illustration.  That rivalry had long been intense, and so was the game.  But when an especially injurious and illegal dirty hit not only was not penalized, but was even rewarded, the game got out of control and became the perhaps the ugliest NFL game of that decade.  God help us if we dare reward the Democrats’ dirty play, namely their refusal to respect the last presidential election.

What needs to happen when there is dirty play and a refusal to respect the rules of the game is the perpetrator(s) gets ejected from the game and for games to come if the violation is egregious.  But we do not have referees in politics that can do that.  Nor do we trust government to do that for the most part.  Yes, the Germans outlawed the Nazi Party after World War II, and that was understandable and called for given the destructive evil the Nazis had wrought.  But for the most part, we lack the mechanisms and the trust to do that in the U. S.  And politicians do not have a good track record of policing politicians for some reason.

So it is We the People who must politically eject parties who refuse to respect the Constitution and elections under the Constitution.  It is up to us.

And, yes, I think instead rewarding the Democrats with votes would be at the very least problematic for any who claim to be Christian or any who claim to be American.  That should be obvious, and I hardly trust myself to say more. 

And, yes, there is much else on the Left that calls for punishment, not reward: the riots of BLM and Antifa, the censorship and election meddling of social media, the virtual promises of the Democrats to turn us into a Leftist One-Party State should they gain both the White House and the Senate, and more.

But the habitual refusal of a major political party to respect clean elections unless they win is so corrosive to any state that it must be punished if a country is to survive intact.  The Democrats must be punished.  

And that is up to us.  They refused to respect our votes in 2016.  This year we must make them respect our votes.

Psalm 37 – A Psalm for Our Time

Yesterday, because it was the Evening of the 7th day of the month and I use the traditional Book of Common Prayer as the Lord intends, of course, I read and recited Psalm 37.  And it’s a good thing, too.

For Psalm 37 is a timely reminder to me and to anyone sorely provoked during this election season to “fret not thyself because of the ungodly” for God will take care of them and of his people in his good timing.  God will execute justice, and he’s a lot better at it than we are.  So we should “leave off from wrath, and let go displeasure; fret not thyself, else shalt thou be moved to do evil.”  Yes, if we allow ourselves to get so worked up that we foolishly take matters into our own hands, we can easily fall into evil and be the wrongdoers ourselves.

Note that this is not a call to passivity.  As in just about all things, there should be a balance.  Namely we should “put thou thy trust in the Lord and be doing good.”  But if we fret and do not trust in God’s timing and faithfulness to bring about justice, we can too easily fall into doing foolishness and evil.

Today we get a reminder of that from Michigan where an alleged plot to kidnap Democrat Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and overthrow the state government has been foiled with alleged perpetrators arrested. 

Now should the tyranny of Whitmer be opposed through legal means (which have had some success lately)?  Yes.

Should we not presume the guilt of those accused as the Feds have been known to make politically motivated prosecutions before elections? Yes.

Should we question why the four year long coup against President Donald Trump has not been prosecuted? Yes.

But, at the very least, have the accused acted foolishly and gone about opposing Whitmer’s tyranny in a completely wrong way?  Yes, and if the accusations are true, they were plotting awful crimes and should be prosecuted accordingly.

Assuming there is any truth to the accusations, what the accused have done is a sad illustration of what can happen if we ignore the Lord’s guidance to “fret not thyself, else shalt thou be moved to do evil.”

Frankly, I fear what I would be capable of if it were not for my faith in Christ and in his coming justice.  Those of us who care deeply about justice and hate tyranny especially need to remember that God, not our foolishness, will make all things right in the end.  Yes, we should care about the society God has placed us in and be active good citizens but, again, we should avoid getting so worked up that we allow ourselves to “be moved to do evil.”

So if you did not read Psalm 37 yesterday, do so today.  Maybe you, too, need a reminder during this trying time.

30 Reasons for COVID-19 Distrust

It seems the symptoms of COVID-19 are not only coughing, fever, and loss of smell, but also heightened distrust.  That distrust includes conspiracy theories spreading, replicating and mutating faster than the coronavirus.  But one does not have to wear a tin foil hat or believe any of the conspiracy theories to distrust at least some of what is being pushed upon us in the name of combating COVID-19.

To assist those who may wonder why there is so much distrust or even have contempt for it, I present 30 reasons for COVID-19 distrust.  Trust that I could list far more and explain these more, but if I did that, Michigan might open up before I am finished.

1. Moving the goalposts
We were told over and over again that the closings and stay at home orders were necessary to “flatten the curve” so that hospital capacity was not overwhelmed.  Yet when it was obvious hospital capacity was not going to be overwhelmed, governments persisted with their orders. Now some even advocate that we wait for a vaccine before reopening society.  

2. Massaging statistics
I’ve already documented at least one death counted towards COVID-19 when COVID as a marginal factor at best.  That death is far from alone.  It has gotten to be a dark joke how deaths that have little to do with COVID are padding COVID death statistics.
And didn’t Dr. Birx pretty much say that if there are a number of factors in a death of which COVID is one that it will be counted as a COVID death?  I am 98% sure I heard her say that myself.  But now I cannot find that on the internet to save my life.  Which leads to . . .

3. Information and opinions that do not support the shut-everything-down narrative are being suppressed and even censored.

4.  Mark Zuckerberg has admitted that Facebook is taking down posts that promote protests against the shutdowns.

5. Mark Zuckerberg, period.

6. Inconvenient statistics are downplayed.
One justification for the lockdowns was a supposedly high mortality rate for COVID-19.  But as the virus has progressed it is clear its mortality is low, probably under 1%.  Flus can be worse than that.  Yet lockdowns continue.

7. The models from the “experts” were wildly wrong.  Yet they remain the “experts.”
I will cut the “experts” some slack.  This was a new virus and not easy to predict.  But we did shut down much of society because of those models with disastrous consequences.

8. This has become a totalitarian Leftist fantasy.
Greatly harming Western capitalist economies, especially the eeevil oil industry, making us dependant on government, taking away freedoms, especially freedom of religion, and freedom of movement, etc.  Funny how the response to COVID-19 and its results have been a totalitarian Leftist fantasy.

9. Churches are restricted and attacked, even for drive-in services.
The Communist Mayor of New York threatening to close churches permanently is only one instance.

10. Big business benefits while small business is decimated.
Amazon, Costco, Walmart, Target and big box grocery stories are very open and thriving.  But most small businesses are shut down.  Many will not reopen.  And that even though…

11. Many/most small businesses are just as able to maintain social distance as big businesses.
Many/most small businesses usually have light traffic, making it easier to maintain social distance than at, say, a Walmart.  One favorite pub, which I have never seen crowded, was taking temperatures at the door.  If you had a temperature, you didn’t get in.  That pub (now closed for weeks. I pray it reopens.) was surely much safer than a big grocery store.

12. Planned Parenthood remains open.
Killing babies is “essential” don’tcha know.

13. It is questionable how helpful the shutdowns have been in combating COVID-19.

14. The timing seems politically convenient for ChiComs, Democrats, and the Deep State.
With what was a strong economy, President Trump seemed well on the way to reelection.  Now the economy has taken a horrific hit, and the difficulties of emerging from this [manufactured?] crisis make his reelection much more uncertain.  

15.  This has been used as a political weapon against Trump. 
No matter what he does or does not do, he is attacked by Democrats and the “News” Media.  (But I repeat myself.)  He is attacked as too slow to respond by those who were impeaching him and encouraging mass gatherings (such as Pelosi) at the time, yet he was attacked for sharply restricting travel from China back at the end of January.
No, TDS is not logical.

16. Democrat governors and mayors have generally been much harsher in restricting freedoms than Republicans.  Speaking of which…


18. Bill Gates.
And his praising China only adds to the distrust.  Speaking of ChiCom toadies….

19. WHO has made things worse.
The World Health Organization (WHO) downplayed the danger of COVID-19 early, then exaggerated/overestimated the danger and cheerleaded the shutdowns later.  Both increased the damage to Western economies.

20. WHO is in the back pocket of the ChiComs.

21. The ChiComs, period.

22.  This is being used to push letting in illegals, giving them stimulus benefits and giving them jobs.
Yes, it’s sheer madness, but this crisis is somehow being used to advocate letting illegals and other prospective immigrants right on in and remain and giving them jobs which citizens now greatly need.  Relevant Magazine is among those doing so with the apparent support of ACNA Bishop Clark Lowenfield. (Thankfully, President Trump is instead limiting immigration for a time.)

Yes, you should  distrust vote-by-mail among other fraud enabling proposals.

24.  The Deep State has already earned utter distrust.
Do some of the conspiracy theories sound bizarre?  Well, some of them are bizarre. 
But think about it this way.  How bizarre would it be for high-ups in the FBI, DOJ, and CIA to conspire with the Democrat Party and the “News” Media to rig an election, then, when that failed, to overthrow an elected President?  That sounds like a spy novel.
Yet that is exactly what happened.  And that and other enormities make COVID conspiracy theories more believable.  If the Deep State tried to pull that attempted coup against Trump, what else would they try?

25.  Predatory prisoners have been released while surfers, beach runners, and playground moms are arrested.

26.  Why the shutdowns this time?
We’ve had any number of viruses in recent decades that have been as bad or worse – ebola, swine flu, Hong Kong flu, etc.  There were not all these shutdowns then.  It begs questions about other agendas.  Speaking of which…

27. Totalitarians and other power hungry statists have a long history of using crises, real and concocted, to seize more power.
“Never let a crisis go to waste.”

28.  This has brought out totalitarians big and small.
We sure know who the Karens are now, don’t we.

29. Governments are encouraging Karens to spy and report people.  And they gleefully oblige.
If you ever wondered how that became prevalent so easily in Cuba, now you know.

And last, but not least…

30. “The New Normal”
Permanent changes to society, most of which restrict our freedoms, are advocated and passed off as part of “The New Normal” we will have to put up with . . . or else.

COUP: Obama Officials Knew Steele Dossier Was Russian Disinformation Targeting Trump

This report from Sara Carter is damning, a smoking gun or at least close to it:

Newly declassified footnotes from Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s December FBI report reveals that senior Obama officials, including members of the FBI’s Crossfire Hurricane team knew the dossier compiled by a former British spy during the 2016 election was Russian disinformation to target President Donald Trump.

Further, the partially declassified footnotes reveal that those senior intelligence officials were aware of the disinformation when they included the dossier in the Obama administration’s Intelligence Communities Assessment (ICA).

Worse, as many of you remember, the Steele Dossier was used by Obama officials to get FISA warrants to spy on Donald Trump and his campaign. 

If people do not go to prison for this, it will be a grave injustice.

About Schumer’s Threats Against Supreme Court Justices UPDATED

This week and today is hectic for me to say the least, and I will have to be to the point, but I cannot let pass Democrat Senate Minority Leader’s Chuck Schumer’s threats against Supreme Court Justices Kavanaugh and Gorsuch.
“Now, we stand here today because behind me, inside the walls of this court, the Supreme Court is hearing arguments, as you know, for the first major abortion right cases since [Justice] Kavanaugh and [Justice] Gorsuch came to the bench. We know what’s at stake. Over the last three years, women’s reproductive rights have come under attack in a way we haven’t seen in modern history. From Louisiana, to Missouri, to Texas, Republican legislatures are waging a war on women, all women, and they’re taking away fundamental rights. I want to tell you, Gorsuch, I want to tell you, Kavanaugh, you have released the whirlwind and you will pay the price. You won’t know what hit you, if you go forward with these awful decisions.”
Chief Justice Roberts was right and accurate to call out these remarks as “threatening” and “dangerous.” Schumer directly threatened two Supreme Court Justices if they do not rule how he desires.
And this episode confirms I am right that our political differences have gone far beyond policy disputes.  The integrity of our Constitutional republic is in danger thanks to Democrats like Schumer. They don’t respect elections they don’t win.  They don’t respect the Constitution.  They don’t respect the Supreme Court when it is not their rubber stamp. They attempt a long and repeated coup against an elected President and against us who elected him.  And now Schumer, the Senate Minority Leader no less, threatens Supreme Court Justices in the streets.
For the sake of our future as a country we must punish the Democrats. Censuring Chuck Schumer would only be a start.
Yes, I know that sounds very political.  But it is much more than political.  There are times when a political party or movement is so toxic and dangerous that it must be rendered inviable for the sake of a country. That’s what happened to the British National Party.  It’s what needed to happen any number of times in the 20thCentury. And it needs to happen to the Democrat Party until it learns to respect the Constitution and the rule of law.
Trust that I intend to say more about this whether people like it or not.

The Roger Stone Controversy and MOAR Impeachment Speaks Volumes

The controversy about the sentencing of Roger Stone combines four subjects that can get me to rant and foam at the mouth: prosecutorial misconduct, two-tiered justice, corrupt Democrat hacks-in-black judges, and the perpetual coup against Trump and Constitutional democracy.
Now although my having a prolonged wall-eyed fit may be entertaining, it might not be edifying. So instead I point you to two videos from yesterday that summarize this situation very well.  The first is from Tim Pool (who is not a Trump voter by the way) on Democrats using the controversy as a pretext to continue their coup against Trump.
The second is Tucker Carlson summarizing the facts of the Roger Stone case, including the first excessive sentence request and the jury foreman being a rabid Trump hater who apparently lied to get on the jury.
Again, there is so much I could rant, I mean, say.  But I will confine myself to the reaction of Democrats.
Democrats are oh-so for “justice” and against “fascism.”  So one would think they would speak out against prosecutors attempting to create a political prisoner through excessive sentencing.  One would think they would be upset by a jury being rigged by being led by a rabid political opponent of the defendant.
But, no.  Instead, when they see Trump speaking out against this outrage and Attorney General Bill Barr trying to undo some of the damage the four prosecutors have done, Democrats immediately use that as a pretext to open the door to impeaching Trump again and to impeach Barr.
All this illustrates once again how Democrats cannot be trusted with Constitutional democracy and justice.  They apparently have no problem with turning political opponents into political prisoners.  They certainly have no problem with two-tiered justice rigged for them and against political opponents.  And they so disrespect elections they don’t win, especially the 2016 election, that they are still continuing the perpetual coup against Trump, this time because he did a horrible thing: he opposed a kangaroo court turning Roger Stone into a political prisoner.
And the reaction from some in the church speaks volumes as well.  Some leaders in the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA), in the Southern Baptist Convention, and in The Evangelical Church of What’s Happening Now smear Trump and smear his supporters, especially his supporters within the church.  But does this “social justice” crowd say a peep about the injustice against Roger Stone?  Do they say a word about Democrats’ perpetual coup against Trump and disrespect for Constitutional democracy unless they win?  If so, they sure are awful quiet about it.
Maybe some of this “social justice” “evangelical” crowd is more Leftist than they are Christian.

About Trump at the National Prayer Breakfast

I hear our President, Still-Your-President Donald Trump, ruffled some feathers at the National Prayer Breakfast yesterday.
The details may be found elsewhere.  I would not have said everything he said in that setting.  But you know what?  I have not had the coup against me that Trump has endured for over three long years. (Well, actually it was a coup against my vote.)  And, especially with coup participant Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who has long not respected the President nor his election, sitting there, I can understand Trump getting a bit hot.
It also should be remembered that Trump is President of the United States; he is no bishop and no priest.  And I am thankful, both for his office and that he does not hold churchly offices.  There’s one advantage of not having an established church right there.
But you know what else? If some pundit has been silent about the coup against Trump or worse has supported the coup yet now bashes Trump for being a bit hot upon his impeachment trial acquittal, he can shut up.  Yes, I said it.  That goes double for perverters of the faith like Jesuit LibPapist James Martin.
Such need to shut up and repent far, far more than President Trump.  And the rest of us would do well to use the following rule of thumb. If a pundit on American politics has not opposed or at least questioned the coup against Trump, he probably is not worth listening to whether he or she is a person of the Left or the Right or something in between. 
If you think that would mean listening only to Trump supporters, not so.  Remember Democrats Alan Dershowitz and Jonathan Turley have opposed impeachment.  Both very much merit listening.  Even Van Jones, a slightly Left-wing opponent of Trump, who nonetheless has come to earn my respect and my ear, has questioned the wisdom of impeachment.
Don’t get me wrong. I am very much for free speech as longtime readers know.  And dialogue is vital in a democracy.  But there are still lines that should not be crossed. And the coup against Trump and against the 2016 election of him long ago crossed the line between legitimate policy disputes and illegitimate attacks on our Constitutional democracy.
It’s important that we get that and punish the perpetrators rather than give any credence to them or to their sycophants.

The Whistleblower in Early 2017: “Take out” Trump

The current Impeachment Show Trial is not about some phone call to the Ukraine; it is about taking out Trump.  It has always been about a coup to “take out” Trump even when he was just inaugurated:
Barely two weeks after Donald Trump took office, Eric Ciaramella – the CIA analyst whose name was recently linked in a tweet by the president and mentioned by lawmakers as the anonymous “whistleblower" who touched off Trump's impeachment – was overheard in the White House discussing with another staffer how to remove the newly elected president from office, according to former colleagues….
Two former co-workers said they overheard Ciaramella and Misko, close friends and Democrats held over from the Obama administration, discussing how to “take out,” or remove, the new president from office within days of Trump’s inauguration. These co-workers said the president’s controversial Ukraine phone call in July 2019 provided the pretext they and their Democratic allies had been looking for.
“They didn’t like his policies,” another former White House official said. "They had a political vendetta against him from Day One.”
Read the Real Clear Investigations article for more on their mutinous conversation.  Again, Eric Ciaramella is alleged to be the “Whistleblower” who provided the pretext for the impeachment.  Misko later worked for Adam Schiff, the ringleader of House impeachment efforts.  These Deep State Democrat buddies have been looking for a pretext to “take out” Trump practically from Day One.  And they are far from alone.  Oh, Adam Schiff and the other Democrat Impeachment Managers portray this cabal as principled and “non-partisan.”  They are lying.
I know some may think me conspiratorial for calling all this a coup.  But the more that comes out, the more I am proven correct.  
Trump will almost certainly be acquitted in the ongoing Impeachment Trial.  The question is will we make Democrats pay for their attacks on Constitutional democracy, for their perpetual attempts to nullify our votes, for their perpetual coup?

NOTE: Again, the reason I am posting this on this Anglican-oriented blog is that a few leaders in the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA) have taken sides against Trump while expressing concern about democracy (Support for the AND Campaign and for the infamous Christianity Today editorial are two examples.) yet they have said nothing about the Democrat coup against Trump and against our votes.  They have said nothing about Democrats not respecting elections unless they win. So the coup has become an all too relevant topic.

About that Christianity Today Editorial…

When I heard of the Christianity Today editorial from Mark Galli calling for President Trump to be removed from office, I almost went incandescent.  But I had just pledged to lay off politics for the end of Advent.  So I deferred on posting here, while promising a “present” after Christmas Day.
Well, it’s after Christmas Day now, but by this time there is so much commentary out there I think it best for me not to add much to it, at least not now.  Many of you have probably heard quite enough about the subject already anyway.
At the same time, I want to point to two responses that are being largely overlooked. First is an open letter response from a number of evangelical leaders.  I am linking to it because although I’ve read about it, the open letter itself is not easy to find . . . because of search engine bias perhaps?  The letter concludes:
The editorial you [i.e. Christianity Today]published, without any meaningful and immediate regard for dissenting points of view, not only supported the entirely-partisan, legally-dubious, and politically-motivated impeachment but went even further, calling for Donald Trump not to be elected again in 2020 when he certainly survives impeachment. 
As one of our signatories said to the press, “I hope Christianity Today will now tell us who they will support for president among the 2020 Democrat field?” 
Your editorial offensively questioned the spiritual integrity and Christian witness of tens-of-millions of believers who take seriously their civic and moral obligations. 
It not only targeted our President; it also targeted those of us who support him, and have supported you. 
The second response is more off the radar screen of most, but it is one of the better rebuttals I’ve seen and merits more attention.  Carol Swain packs a lot into a short op-ed.  She begins by pointing out that Galli is wrong about the facts surrounding the impeachment hearings and wrong in being an “accuser of the brethren.”  But she says so much more.  Do go read her commentary.

I will briefly add that what I find most troubling about this episode is that a number of evangelical leaders not only seem not to have much problem with the perpetual coup against Trump but now are even cheerleading it.  And a few of the cheerleaders are leaders in ACNA. But you really do not want to get me started on that, so I will leave off for now.

Here We Go Again...

One would think Leftists would learn that one way to lose the next election is to disrespect voters in the last election.  Disrespect for the 2016 Brexit Referendum certainly hurt both Labour and the LibDems in last week’s UK General Election.  One would think that would be a learning experience.
One would think.
But no.  The day after the election, Leftists took to UK streets to protest . . . what? Voters? Free elections? Those sort of anti-democratic temper tantrums might have sold in the Weimar Republic, but last I looked, most British prefer democracy with their Queen, thank you.
Oh, and here’s where Leftist whining gets beyond satire. The founders of Fusion GPS, purveyors of lies used in the perpetual coup against Trump, these scumbags are blaming . . . Russia.  No I am not kidding:

The founders of Fusion GPS, the Democrat-backed consulting firm behind the famously discredited Christopher Steele dossier at the heart of the Russia hoax, are blaming Russia for the liberal Labour Party’s loss in the U.K. elections Thursday. Seriously….
“Britain needs its own Mueller report on Russian ‘interference,’” [Guardian] editors titled the article.
“The British political system has become thoroughly compromised by Russian influence,” Simpson and Fritsch declared. “In 2016, both the United Kingdom and the United States were the targets of Russian efforts to swing their votes.
But us in The Colonies had better not laugh too hard.  For Democrats and Leftists (But I repeat myself.) are already making it known ahead of time that they have no intention of respecting the 2020 elections should Trump get re-elected.  California Democrat Rep. Karen Bass, for one, says they just might impeach Trump yet again after 2020.  And Democrat House Judiciary Chairman Nadler is openly saying the 2020 election will be rigged if Trump is not impeached and removed.
Yes, Americans might collude by voting to re-elect Trump. How dare they!
All this may amuse, but it should also disturb as well.  For a major party again and again so to disrespect elections they don’t win is dangerous to a country.  And that is the situation in the US and UK today.
This Leftist impulse against democracy and against the rights of political opponents makes me fear what will happen if and when Democrats or Labour do win.  We must not let that happen at least until they transform themselves into parties that actually respect constitutional democracy, even when they don’t win.

Schiff Prohibits Witnesses Requested by Republicans

If there is any remaining doubt that the present impeachment inquiry is more an attempted coup than a lawful proceeding, it should be dispelled by Democrat Adam Schiff’s refusal to allow key witnesses requested by Republicans.   (I’ve read that he has denied all Republican witness requests, but I cannot verify that yet.)
Most telling is that he will not even allow Republicans to call the Fake Whistleblower to testify.  The Whistleblower Who Must Not Be Named is how the latest phase of the perpetual coup began – in public at least.  But Schiff will not allow Republicans to call even him as a witness.
I am at the point where I think someone has not to be paying attention to miss that this impeachment inquiry is part of the perpetual coup against Trump that began on Election night 2016 and even before. Democrats like Schiff have never respected that election, and they are not respecting basic principles of law and fair play in still  trying to overturn it.
But with hope I agree with the always colorful Senator John Kennedy (R-La): “The American people are going look at this and go, 'I get it. They're going to give the president a fair and impartial firing squad.'"
But how many are so un-American as to be fine with this unending attempted coup?

However, since several ACNA leaders, such as now C4SO Canon Theologian Esau McCaulley and C4SO Bishop Todd Hunter are supportive of Democrat objectives while being silent about the Democrat coup, I think it is time to speak up about the coup in an Anglican context.  So, with apologies (or not), the ongoing coup will now be one of the subjects I address here for this and other relevant reasons I may address in due time.

BONUS USELESS PREDICTION:
So far every time accusations against Trump have been aired in public, they have been a bust.  See the Mueller Report, Mueller’s testimony, backstabbing lawyer Cohen, the creepy porn lawyer and Stormy Daniels, and . . . I can hardly remember them all anymore.

When the impeachment inquiry goes public beginning tomorrow, it will be a bust as well and may backfire on the Democrats.  We shall see.

Post-Mueller Report Weekend Thoughts

(Apologies to those who come here for something more closely related to Anglicanism.  I have been pretty good about doing that as I intended since I shifted the emphasis of this blog.  But I’ve said so much here about the attempted coup against Trump in the past that I felt I should follow up on the events of this past weekend.  If this does not interest you, it will not offend me at all if you skip this post.)
I hesitate to post anything about this past weekend’s release of the Mueller Report.  So much has been said by others already.  But I’ve commented not a little on the attempted coup against Trump in the past, so I feel like I should say something.
First and most important, yes, there has been – and, as William Jacobson points out, will continue to be – an attempted coup against Trump and against constitutional democracy.  I called it such very early, well before Trump was inaugurated, and events since have borne out that evaluation well. Further the coup came from the depths of the FBI and the CIA in the Obama Administration.  As tinfoil hattish as that may all sound, there is hardly any denying it now.
For the sake of our future as a country, there has to be a price to pay for this.  I agree with Kimberly Strassel and others that the role of the FBI, the DOJ, and the CIA among others must be investigated and am glad to see Sen. Lindsey Graham seems rather eager to do just that.
 
But I am not holding my breath that justice will be done in Congress or the courts.  There is too much a two-tier justice system in place.  That there has not been one indictment for the corruption of the Obama Administration speaks volumes about that.

So justice will have to carried out at the ballot boxes in 2020 in both the primaries and general elections. Democrats and their RINO faux conservative enablers must be punished.  I fear for our future as a country if they are not.  The political punishment has to be so severe that in the future, the likes of Obama, Hillary, Comey, Brennan, Clapper, Schiff etc. will think twice about attempting a coup against the people, their votes, and their constitutional democracy.  I suspect the current attempted coup will end only then.

Democrat Coup Continued

The real story behind the attacks on Jeff Sessions is the continued Democrat coup attempt, which began well before the Inauguration.  And Obama and his lackeys are behind this coup.

Mark Levin is on this.  As is Ace.  For one thing:

Obama, on his way out the door, radically changed NSA rules to allow them to share unredacted surveillance information while preserving the names of people (US citizens) it's illegal for the US to spy on without a warrant. This is a change of practice-- the NSA used to have to scrub out the names of US personnel it's not permitted to eavesdrop on.

This running roughshod over privacy in order to get political opponents is something that should concern people across the political spectrum.  But Leftists and DemocRATS are silent.

I wish I could say more and this, about Obama setting up his shadow White House in D. C. and more.  But the study of the 39 Articles controls me.  Nonetheless Levin and Ace will get you off to a very good start on what is going on.  The Democrat Coup is ongoing for all to see who want to see.


And also remember: DemocRATS lie.
