Biden Doubles Down on His Charlottesville Lie

Largely overlooked in his Democrat nomination acceptance speech last night was Joe Biden repeating his big lie about Charlottesville:

“Just a week ago, yesterday, was the third anniversary of the events in Charlottesville,” Biden continued. “Close your eyes, remember what you saw on television. Remember seeing those neo-nazis and klansmen and white supremacists coming in a field with lighted torches, veins bulging, spewing the same anti-Semitic bile heard across Europe in the ’30’s.”

Biden went on: “Remember the violent clash that ensued between those spreading hate and those with the courage to stand against it? And remember what the president said when asked, he said—quote—there were very fine people on both sides,” Biden lied.   “That was a wake-up call for our country.”

I took pains to expose this lie last year.  I repeat some of what I posted then:

Joe Biden in beginning his campaign for President saw fit to smear President Donald Trump’s statement in the aftermath of Charlottesville. He is not the first to deceive about Charlottesville and Trump’s statement for political purposes, and he won’t be the last.  So it’s time to revisit Charlottesville.

First, Trump did not call white nationalists and the like “fine people.”  He did not, as Biden said, assign “a moral equivalence between those spreading hate and those with the courage to stand against it.”  Here is what Trump said, in context:

You had some very bad people in that group, but you also had people that were very fine people, on both sides. ... I saw the same pictures as you did. You had people in that group that were there to protest the taking down of, to them, a very, very important statue and the renaming of a park from Robert E. Lee to another name. ... So you know what, it's fine. You're changing history. You're changing culture. And you had people — and I'm not talking about the neo-Nazis and the White nationalists, because they should be condemned totally — but you had many people in that group other than neo-Nazis and White nationalists. Okay? And the press has treated them absolutely unfairly. Now, in the other group also, you had some fine people. But you also had troublemakers, and you see them come with the black outfits and with the helmets and with the baseball bats. You had a lot of bad people in the other group.

And Trump’s statement was and is accurate.  You had peaceful people who, like me frankly, are concerned about taking down history for current political motivations.  And on the other side you had peaceful people who, also like me, oppose extremist racist ideologies.

But that doesn’t stop Joe Biden from telling his big lie. . . again.

What kind of man tells and retells such a vicious big lie at key moments in his campaign?

And why does no one in the “mainstream” “news” media ask him about this?

About Trump at the National Prayer Breakfast

I hear our President, Still-Your-President Donald Trump, ruffled some feathers at the National Prayer Breakfast yesterday.

The details may be found elsewhere.  I would not have said everything he said in that setting.  But you know what?  I have not had the coup against me that Trump has endured for over three long years. (Well, actually it was a coup against my vote.)  And, especially with coup participant Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who has long not respected the President nor his election, sitting there, I can understand Trump getting a bit hot.

It also should be remembered that Trump is President of the United States; he is no bishop and no priest.  And I am thankful, both for his office and that he does not hold churchly offices.  There’s one advantage of not having an established church right there.

But you know what else? If some pundit has been silent about the coup against Trump or worse has supported the coup yet now bashes Trump for being a bit hot upon his impeachment trial acquittal, he can shut up.  Yes, I said it.  That goes double for perverters of the faith like Jesuit LibPapist James Martin.

Such need to shut up and repent far, far more than President Trump.  And the rest of us would do well to use the following rule of thumb. If a pundit on American politics has not opposed or at least questioned the coup against Trump, he probably is not worth listening to whether he or she is a person of the Left or the Right or something in between. 

If you think that would mean listening only to Trump supporters, not so.  Remember Democrats Alan Dershowitz and Jonathan Turley have opposed impeachment.  Both very much merit listening.  Even Van Jones, a slightly Left-wing opponent of Trump, who nonetheless has come to earn my respect and my ear, has questioned the wisdom of impeachment.

Don’t get me wrong. I am very much for free speech as longtime readers know.  And dialogue is vital in a democracy.  But there are still lines that should not be crossed. And the coup against Trump and against the 2016 election of him long ago crossed the line between legitimate policy disputes and illegitimate attacks on our Constitutional democracy.

It’s important that we get that and punish the perpetrators rather than give any credence to them or to their sycophants. 

About that Christianity Today Editorial…

When I heard of the Christianity Today editorial from Mark Galli calling for President Trump to be removed from office, I almost went incandescent.  But I had just pledged to lay off politics for the end of Advent.  So I deferred on posting here, while promising a “present” after Christmas Day.

Well, it’s after Christmas Day now, but by this time there is so much commentary out there I think it best for me not to add much to it, at least not now.  Many of you have probably heard quite enough about the subject already anyway.

At the same time, I want to point to two responses that are being largely overlooked. First is an open letter response from a number of evangelical leaders.  I am linking to it because although I’ve read about it, the open letter itself is not easy to find . . . because of search engine bias perhaps?  The letter concludes:

The editorial you [i.e. Christianity Today]published, without any meaningful and immediate regard for dissenting points of view, not only supported the entirely-partisan, legally-dubious, and politically-motivated impeachment but went even further, calling for Donald Trump not to be elected again in 2020 when he certainly survives impeachment. 

As one of our signatories said to the press, “I hope Christianity Today will now tell us who they will support for president among the 2020 Democrat field?” 

Your editorial offensively questioned the spiritual integrity and Christian witness of tens-of-millions of believers who take seriously their civic and moral obligations. 

It not only targeted our President; it also targeted those of us who support him, and have supported you. 

The second response is more off the radar screen of most, but it is one of the better rebuttals I’ve seen and merits more attention.  Carol Swain packs a lot into a short op-ed.  She begins by pointing out that Galli is wrong about the facts surrounding the impeachment hearings and wrong in being an “accuser of the brethren.”  But she says so much more.  Do go read her commentary.

I will briefly add that what I find most troubling about this episode is that a number of evangelical leaders not only seem not to have much problem with the perpetual coup against Trump but now are even cheerleading it.  And a few of the cheerleaders are leaders in ACNA. But you really do not want to get me started on that, so I will leave off for now.

Trump Signs EO Against Campus Anti-Semitism

I’m in a slight rush this morning.  But something overlooked last week amidst the UK election and US shampeachment news is that President Trump signed an executive order directing and empowering the Department of Education to go after anti-semitism on college campuses.

I was very glad to see this.  It is much needed.  Two examples:

Harassment of Jewish and pro-Israel students has been going on for a long time. At Temple University in August 2014, SJP members called Daniel Vessal, a Camera on Campus fellow and a member of the Jewish fraternity AEPi, “kike” and “baby killer,” and punched him in the face. Vessal explained that he tried to engage SJP members in dialogue, but “people at the table were calling me a ‘baby killer’…And then this kid just rocks me in the face as hard as he can. My glasses flew off. After a two-second blur I had no clue what had happened. I couldn’t believe the kid actually hit me. When the police came over and were filing the report the kids at the table were screaming ‘You Zionist pig, you racist, that’s what you get.’” Police did not arrest the attacker. 

In May 2016, Eliana Kopley, a sophomore at the University of California at Irvine (UCI), was trying to enter a screening of an Israeli documentary about the IDF called “Beneath the Helmet” when she was accosted by an angry mob screaming “Long live the Intifada!” and “F**k Israel!” The protesters prevented her from entering the building where the film was being shown and even chased her into a nearby building, where they pounded on the doors and windows while continuing to scream their slogans. Police ultimately escorted Kopley into the screening. The UCI chapter of the SJP was thrilled with this thuggery and praised the mob.

It will take more than an EO to bring justice, free speech, and sanity even back to U. S. campuses.  But Trump’s EO is an appreciated step in the right direction.

Boris Wins Big. Will History Echo?

I begin writing Thursday night under the influence of a bit of beer and a lot of schadenfreudein celebration of Labour and the LibDems getting their just desserts.  But I retain enough wisdom to review and rewrite this morning.  Still, I cannot resist wondering if history is, if not repeating, at least echoing.

No, it’s not just booze that has me pondering this.  I am barely old enough to remember Margaret Thatcher’s groundbreaking victory in 1979.  Labour had power for much of the 70’s thanks to the foolish and dishonest Edward Heath.  But Labour blew their chance with obnoxious Leftist policies that ground the UK economy into the ground.

Thatcher’s victory turned out to be a precursor for the election of Ronald Reagan the following year.  The Democrats had power since 1974 thanks to the foolish and dishonest Richard Nixon.  But the Democrats blew their chance with obnoxious Leftist policies that ground the US economy into the ground.  Reagan won in a landslide, and Republicans took the Senate.

Fast forward, in June 2016,British were fed up with the establishment of both major parties who did not listen to them but who were instead beholden to EU Brussels bureaucrats.  So in a shocking upset they voted for Brexit; they voted to leave the EU.

So, after dispatching Jeb! and Co. mercilessly in the Republican primaries, they in a shocking upset elected Donald Trump as President of the United States.

In the years since, neither the Left nor the establishment of the UK and US have respected those 2016 votes and have worked tirelessly to undermine them.

So we get last night.  Yes, there are significant differences from Thatcher’s election and even Brexit, but Labour did have some power before the election thank to the weak and duplicitous Teresa May.  But they blew their chance with obnoxious Leftist policies with a strong dose of anti-semitism and, probably most importantly, by disrespecting the 2016 Brexit referendum result.  And the LibDems were even more all in on undoing Brexit.

And you know the result last night (with one seat undeclared): Labour loses 42 seats; the LibDems lose almost half their seats; Boris Johnson and the Tories gain 66 seats, a strong majority, and, barring any egregious foolishness, he will be PM for at least five years.  Contempt for Brexit and for democracy were thoroughly punished.

Here in the U. S. the Democrats have some power, holding the House, most cities, several states, the “news” media, and most cultural institutions.  But they are blowing their chance with obnoxious Leftist policies with a strong dose of anti-semitism and, probably most importantly, bystilldisrespecting the 2016 election of Trump, even to the point of the current absurd impeachment effort.

And . . . you can probably guess what I am hoping and praying for next year – the Democrats being thoroughly punished for their contempt for democracy.  Last night in the UK may yet again be a precursor for the US.  I am not quite yet to the point of expecting that.  But I did not entirely expect the 1980 Reagan landslide or Trump either.

So history may yet again echo.  We shall see.

Schiff Prohibits Witnesses Requested by Republicans

If there is any remaining doubt that the present impeachment inquiry is more an attempted coup than a lawful proceeding, it should be dispelled by Democrat Adam Schiff’s refusal to allow key witnesses requested by Republicans.   (I’ve read that he has denied all Republican witness requests, but I cannot verify that yet.)

Most telling is that he will not even allow Republicans to call the Fake Whistleblower to testify.  The Whistleblower Who Must Not Be Named is how the latest phase of the perpetual coup began – in public at least.  But Schiff will not allow Republicans to call even him as a witness.

I am at the point where I think someone has not to be paying attention to miss that this impeachment inquiry is part of the perpetual coup against Trump that began on Election night 2016 and even before. Democrats like Schiff have never respected that election, and they are not respecting basic principles of law and fair play in still  trying to overturn it.

But with hope I agree with the always colorful Senator John Kennedy (R-La): “The American people are going look at this and go, 'I get it. They're going to give the president a fair and impartial firing squad.'"

But how many are so un-American as to be fine with this unending attempted coup?

However, since several ACNA leaders, such as now C4SO Canon Theologian Esau McCaulley and C4SO Bishop Todd Hunter are supportive of Democrat objectives while being silent about the Democrat coup, I think it is time to speak up about the coup in an Anglican context.  So, with apologies (or not), the ongoing coup will now be one of the subjects I address here for this and other relevant reasons I may address in due time.

BONUS USELESS PREDICTION:
So far every time accusations against Trump have been aired in public, they have been a bust.  See the Mueller Report, Mueller’s testimony, backstabbing lawyer Cohen, the creepy porn lawyer and Stormy Daniels, and . . . I can hardly remember them all anymore.

When the impeachment inquiry goes public beginning tomorrow, it will be a bust as well and may backfire on the Democrats.  We shall see.

More about the Timing of the AND Campaign

I’ve mentioned here that the AND Campaign and its timing reminds me of the Seamless Garment political philosophy pushed during the 80’s. There is one aspect of AND’s timing I have not yet mentioned but have been thinking about.

There are indications that Trump might be gaining more Black support than the usual Republican.  The poll numbers are hard to discern but can be read favorably for Trump.  And there is no question that he is making more of an effort to woo Blacks than past Republicans.  There is a large contingent of Black conservatives backing him vociferously.  And one may not want to underestimate the influence of Kayne West.  Of course, that Black unemployment is now the lowest recorded helps Trump.

I understand if readers think this is all anecdotal wishful thinking.  I guess we will find out in a year, won’t we?  But I predict Trump will get 16% or more of the Black vote.  That may not sound like much, but it would be double his 2016 vote.

Of course, if Trump makes significant inroads with Black voters, it would be catastrophic for Democrats just as Ronald Reagan winning over Roman Catholics was in the 80’s.  From a Democrat point of the view, that Must. Not. Happen.

Now I do not presume to know for sure whether one of the purposes of the AND Campaign is to prevent this and to keep largely Black “Urban Christians,” as they dub them, on board with Democrats.  Just as I do not presume to know all the motives of Cardinal Bernardin when he gave his Seamless Garment lecture in 1983. Still, there is no question a big theme of AND is Orange Man Bad.  They do NOT want “Urban Christians” voting for Trump at a time when more of them just might.

Thus the timing of AND is interesting, is it not?

This Coup Against Democracy Must Be Stopped

I will have to keep this short, and this may be unpolished.  This topic is big, but my time is limited.

But it must be noted that the attempted coup against our democracy that began with protests against the results of a free and fair election, then continued with attacks on the Electoral College, continues still.  While Senate Democrats make it as difficult as never before in modern history for Trump to put his people in place, while fed judges are trying to take over immigration and national security, Obama/Establishment holdovers are criminally leaking and undermining the President we elected.  It is borderline treason against democracy.

And this is an attack on our democracy more than it is against Trump.  DemocRATS and Establishment Republicans would not have us rule ourselves under the Constitution.  They shall rule us whether by democratic means or not . . . or else. . . .

Obviously strongly prefer normal democratic and constitutional politics. But if it comes to it, prefer the deep state to the Trump state.

We did not choose correctly in the past election.  So they are undermining that choice by means legal and illegal, political and criminal.

And before you write off my concerns as fever swamp rants, John Podhoretz of all people is alarmed by the brazen attacks on Trump and what they may lead to.

The result might well be violence. Not rhetorical violence. Actual violence. Actual political violence. Actual conflicts between anti-Trumpers and Trumpers. At demonstrations. In the streets. Of our cities. Political violence of a sort we haven’t seen in 50 years, and maybe haven't really seen in this country in the modern era. Those who believe Trump is a unique menace whose threat to our democratic way of life will be met with those who believe the elites are using illicit means to oust the legitimately elected president of the United States.

And Lefty Democrat (though one I respect) Dennis Kucinich is also warning about attacks from the Deep State.

For the sake of our democracy, Trump must “drain the swamp” of backstabbers, traitors and criminals.  And it is becoming clear he must do that fast.  There needs to be mass firings.  If there is anyone in the bureaucracy Trump does not have reason to trust who can be fired, they should be out, now.  Those who cannot be fired due to our absurd civil service laws should be reassigned to windowless rooms without computers.

Further, there should be perp walks.  I want to see at least two or three perp walks a week to put fear into would-be traitors.  Obama’s criminals especially have never had a price to pay and think they never will.  That must stop.  There must finally be a measure of justice.  Lock Them Up!

Whether you agree with my prescription or not, do not put your head in the sand.  It is not just Trump who is under attack.  Our constitutional democracy, our right to rule ourselves, is under attack from within.

So World Relief and an ACNA Bishop Are “Deeply Concerned”

World Relief continues its increasingly liberal political ways by taking out a full-page ad in the Washington Post expressing deep, deep concern about Trump pulling back on the import of those lovely refugees until it can be determined how to better vet them to make sure they really are all that lovely.  Trump is so mean!

Now on its face, the open letter is not that objectionable.  Yes, we should be concerned about genuine refugees.  Certainly, we should pray for God to grant our leaders wisdom.

So I am not going to assume motives behind this letter and those who signed it.  But I will vent a bit on what this open letter smells like.  World Relief and Co are “deeply concerned”?  Well, I’m going to express my deep, deep concern, too.

And what this letter smells like is a passive-aggressive attack on Trump’s attempts to protect us.  That “concerned” line at the beginning is a tip-off.  If a modern evangelical leader ever tells you he is “concerned” about you, watch your back!  I certainly can remember being fed that line while I was being stabbed in the back one unhappy occasion.  I was naïve back then.  Experiences with certain evangelical churchly bureaucrats make me slightly cynical now.  Yes, I admit it.

Oh, but World Relief and company are not just “concerned,” they are “deeply concerned.”  Heck, you better pray that getting stabbed in the back is all that happens.

The whole letter smells like weasel words to indulge in political attack while retaining the pretense that they aren’t getting involved in partisan politics at all.  They are just expressing Christian “concern.”

Where was all this concern when terrorists and rapeugees were invading and attacking Europe and beginning to invade and attack us with the help of Obama?

So excuse me if this cynic is not buying World Relief’s “concern” now.  It smells like the usual enabling of invaders who would make us less safe, not to mention less American – liberal enabling dressed up in polyester leisure suits or whatever evangelical leaders wear now.  (They never did know how to dress.)

Maybe it would be better to stuff all the posturing concern, complete with full page ads in the Washington Post, and stick to being a supposedly Christian relief agency.  What a novel idea!  Surely that is a better use of donations . . . and less likely to drive donors away.  And, yes, I would not be shocked at all if donations to World Relief now decrease.

But I can be dreadfully practical and downright hard-hearted about such things.  It seems to be really compassionate, you have to posture in full page ads.  I admit I lack such compassion.

As for ACNA Bishop Stewart Ruch, who signed this with “Anglican Church in North America” under his name, I will be slightly more gracious and assume the best of motives.  He certainly does have a record of reaching out to refugees and deserves said assumption.  But his signature as a bishop of ACNA is nonetheless a highly questionable use of his position.

Further, it takes us a step closer to open division in ACNA over immigration and refugees, a danger of which I have already warned.

Trump's probe of voter fraud is long overdue . . . Says Never Trumper

John Fund has been a rather vocal Never Trumper.  But he is also, at the very least, one of the foremost investigative journalists on the subject of election fraud.  His books Stealing Elections and Who’s Counting (co-authored by Hans Von Spakovsky) grace my library.

So it is notable that he along with Von Spakovsky has written that Trump’s call for a probe of election fraud is right, nay, overdue.

True, Trump’s claim that fraud accounts for all of Hillary’s popular vote margin may be just slightly off, but…

The real problem in our election system is that we don’t really know to what extent President Trump’s claim is true because we have an election system that is based on the honor system. 

What we do know, despite assertions to the contrary, is that voter fraud is a problem, and both sides of the political aisle should welcome a real investigation into it -- especially since the Obama administration tried so hard for eight years to obfuscate the issue and prevent a real assessment. 

Former Justice Department attorney Christian Adams testified under oath that he attended a November 2009 meeting at which then-deputy assistant attorney general Julie Fernandes told DOJ prosecutors that the administration would not be enforcing the federal law that requires local officials to purge illegitimate names from their voter rolls.

And there’s more, much more, particularly in Fund’s books (and on this blog on occasion as well).  Anyone who says election fraud is not a serious problem in this country is ignorant, delusional, or a Democrat.  The Democrat Party benefits from election fraud and has willfully enabled it, when not directly engaging in it.  It’s not for nothing that DemocRATS like Obama and Gov. Dayton of Minnesota have opposed and obstructed Voter ID, cleaning up registration rolls, and other measures to prevent fraud.

So bring on the investigation!  And if it results in perps in prison, so much the better!

It is Morning in America.

It is morning in America.

Yes, the new President will not be a perfect man, far from it.  And remember he was far, far from my first choice.

Yes, the problems we face cannot be solved in a day or a Hundred Days or four years.  Yes, the Washington Establishment of both parties will try to thwart needed change.  Further, they will try to destroy Trump in order to put the rest of us under their thumbs again.  Trump clearly even has his enemies in the intelligence agencies.

Yes, Democrats and Leftists will not suddenly begin respecting the Constitution and the Rule of Law.  Many of them are already doubling down on doing just the opposite.

Yes, there is no guarantee even a hopeful dawn as this will lead to good day and a good future.

But this morning, we can know that at the end of the day, we will have a President who loves this country.  And, for the first time since Reagan, we will have a President who is willing, nay, eager to say “NO” to the Washington/New York/California Establishment on behalf of the American people.

This morning, for the first time since 1989, we can know that at noon, we will have a President who is not named, Bush, Clinton, or Obama.

This morning, we have few guarantees as to what the future will bring.  But we can know this is a new morning to a new day.

It is morning in America.  And with this morning comes hope. 

Only by God’s good providence can this morning lead to bright days for this country.  But God is good and gracious beyond what we can imagine. So let us pray for President Donald Trump and for America.

Remember This Week

After DemocRATS and other Leftists once again and in numerous ways show their contempt for American Constitutional democracy by protesting against the inauguration of a freely and fairly elected President – let that sink in: they are protesting against the result of a free and fair election – after Democrats again really show what they think about Constitutional democracy, remember this week. 

I’ve said it before, but I will repeat it and will keep repeating it because it must be remembered: Leftists and the Democrat Party they now control only respect Constitutional democracy when they win.

And that is why our political disagreements are at a different level and of a greater importance than decades ago.  But I will let that subject pass for a later time.

How can I beat this prediction?

This is a time when many make predictions for the coming year.  But a prediction I made last year was so good, there is no way I can top it.  So I simply say . . . I told you so . . . back in January 2016:

Can it be any clearer that a lot of people out there are angry at being unrepresented by the establishments of both parties?

So I’ve got a 2016 prediction you can add to the zillions you’ve heard already ‘cept mine is better.  2016 will be the Revenge of the Unrepresented.   One result will be the nomination of Donald Trump this summer or the defeat of Hillary Clinton this November. 

And do not be too shocked if it will be both.

Electoral College Thoughts

Well, yesterday Trump won, again, in the Electoral College.  I rather enjoy having a President-Elect who beats Democrats, is good at it, and enjoys it.  What a novelty!

. . . whine about Hillary winning the popular vote.  But that only confirms the Founders’ wisdom in how we elect Presidents.  I, for one, do not want to be ruled by bigoted narrow cities and regions who either pad their DemocRAT vote totals with felons, illegals, and the departed, have profoundly un-American values, want to tell the rest of the nation how to run their lives, or all of the above.

And those regions are indeed narrow.  Here’s a good map to give an idea of that. 

Someone who wants to be President of the United States needs to demonstrate to the electorate that they will indeed be President of the United States, not just of California (which alone provided Hillary her popular vote margin) and New York City and a few other Leftist hell holes.  We don’t need a POTUS who sees the rest of us as “deplorables.”  The Electoral College yesterday protected us from just that.

One last thought – I want those who threatened the lives of Electoral College Electors in prison.  I mean it.

Massive Election Fraud in Detroit? I’m shocked! Shocked!

From the Detroit News:

Voting machines in more than one-third of all Detroit precincts registered more votes than they should have during last month’s presidential election, according to Wayne County records prepared at the request of The Detroit News.

Detailed reports from the office of Wayne County Clerk Cathy Garrett show optical scanners at 248 of the city’s 662 precincts, or 37 percent, tabulated more ballots than the number of voters tallied by workers in the poll books.

Again, Republicans not only have to gain more legit votes than Democrats; they have to get enough votes to overcome Democrook election fraud.  But that is exactly what Trump did in Michigan of all places.  A tip of the hat to him.

I’m somehow functioning this morning after what was an emotional roller coaster for me yesterday and last night.  So I guess I should remark on the election, but I will keep it in short bursts, perhaps adding this or that during the day.

It is nice to have some hope after a presidential election.  I forgot what that felt like.  No, last night does not cure all ills.  Yes, I know Trump is no perfect vessel.  And, as Ace and friends point out, we must continue to fight the Left and the Washington establishment, including the Republican establishment.  For “evil never rests.”  And the evil establishment (There. I said it.) will do all they can to once again thwart the will of the American people.  With Ace, “I'm tired of elections having consequences only if our side loses.”

It will be interesting to see how much the RINO GOP establishment tries to thwart Trump and his voters.  Has the GOP finally learned its lesson?  Their ignoring, hell, practically crapping on the Republican base and on right-thinking independents is what created Trump.  Do they hear us now?

And let there be no mistake.  Americans just gave the Establishment of both parties the biggest, fattest middle finger in history.  The Establishment asked for it and deserved it.  This country badly needed it.  And I rejoice in it!

It will be nice to pray for my President during the Daily Office with a whole heart.  I’ve forgotten what that felt like, too.

What makes Trump’s victory all the more impressive is he overcame attempts to rig the election.  There is no question there was election fraud.  For one instance, a Virginia friend of mine of impeccable honesty tried to vote yesterday.  He could not because someone had stolen his name to vote absentee.

The only question is how massive was the fraud.  It wasn’t massive enough for Hillary.  Good!

Vote in Self-Defense

I noted yesterday that Hillary clearly is not running to be President of Deplorable Americans but only of those roughly 40% who can stomach her and especially of those who have bought her.

Her open attacks on the Deplorables who dare to support Trump are something I cannot remember from a Presidential candidate in my lifetime.

And these attacks will surely not remain merely rhetorical under a Clinton presidency.  The Obama Regime attacked opponents, IRS targeting being only the most infamous of the attacks.  Those attacks will continue and likely get worse under Clinton.

And, Christian, you are in the crosshairs as well.  Hillary has used the weasel phrase “freedom of worship” instead of freedom of religion. “Freedom of worship” translated means you can worship in private as you please (maybe), but forget about the freedom to live out your antiquated bigoted religious convictions publicly.  So pay for abortions and bake me a gay wedding cake while you’re at it, peon.

I know some Christians have having trouble voting for Trump.  As one who supported Rand Paul, then Walker, then Fiorina, then Cruz, trust me, I understand!

But there are times when we have to do what we would rather not do to defend ourselves, our families, and our friends.  That is why we have militaries and why many of us own guns.  I don’t want to shoot anyone, but if a home invader crashes through my door when I’m home, he will be lucky to leave my home alive.  That doesn’t make me a bad Christian who devalues life; that makes me a Christian who values the life God gave me.  Leaving (mistaken) arguments for pacifism aside, there are times to defend ourselves by measures we would rather not have to take.

Now is such a time.

I didn’t want to vote for Trump at all a few months ago either.  Yes, I did consider going third party.  But this week I voted for Trump in early voting.  Hillary and the Clinton Crime Family – and don’t be naïve, they are criminals – consider decent Americans, especially traditional Christian Americans, their enemies.  And they will use the raw power of the Federal Government to attack us “deplorables” and our freedoms, just as Obama did and more.

This is not time for ethical fastidiousness or of pious passivity.  (And, yes, I am seeing too much of that from Christian friends.)  This is a time to stand up for your freedom and for the freedom of your friends and family and, yes, of your church.  That vicious vindictive criminal tyrant Hillary Clinton must be stopped for the sake of church and country. 

You don’t like Trump?  Fine.  But vote for Trump anyway . . . in self-defense.

This will not end well.

Last night was yet another episode of Leftists directly attacking the rights of Americans and completely getting away with it.  Leftist thugs, mostly of the Black Lives Matter ilk, pretty much shut down a DePaul College Republican event with Milo Yiannopoulos as the main speaker.  And that while security, which College Republicans and Breitbart News were forced to pay for, just watched.

Well, there was one arrest . . . of a Breitbart News cameraman. 

Of course, last night also brought a violent Leftist protest at a Trump appearance in New Mexico.  But at least the Albuquerque Police made a good faith effort to stop them.

Elsewhere that has often not been the case.  The Black Lives Matter crowd has particularly been handled with kid gloves even as they block traffic on major roads.  I remember one such episode in which police just watched as Black Lives Matter blocked off traffic.  But when a driver very slowly tried to get through, he was arrested!  (Sorry.  This has been some time back and I cannot find the episode online.)

Things have gotten so bad in this country, I hesitate to make predictions for fear I will be seen as inciting something.  But I will allow my logical readers to put two and two together.

You have Leftists who time and again directly attack the Constitutional rights of Americans, particularly free speech and freedom to travel, especially necessary travel to work, etc.  And you have millions of Americans who are fed up with their rights being attacked and who see that the authorities not only do not defend their Constitutional rights, but also attack said rights themselves.

The episode at DePaul is that in a microcosm.  To my knowledge, not a single Leftist was arrested.  The Leftists were allowed to shut down freedom of speech at an event.  But a conservative journalist was arrested!

Some Americans may see numerous episodes like this and think that the authorities will not defend their rights, so they will have to defend their rights themselves.

I’m afraid soon the two aforementioned groups of predatory Leftists and fed up Americans will meet in great numbers with . . . consequences.  And by “soon,” I mean at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland.

Really, the Republican National Committee was foolish to pick Cleveland for the convention.  Cleveland is a DemocRAT hole.  Can that trashy city government be trusted to defend Republicans – Trump supporters especially – from the Leftists who will surely flock there in the thousands?

Hey, Cleveland, you don’t like me calling you out?  Then prove me wrong.  Prove you are willing and able to defend the rights of the Republicans coming to your fine city.

So in Cleveland, you will have a combination of predatory Leftists, fed up Americans, and a city government who probably doesn’t care much about defending the rights of Americans, especially Republicans.  If the Trump people want their rights genuinely defended, they may find themselves having to do it themselves.  And some understandably won’t be in the mood to be gentle about it.

Again, I would rather not spell out what that might look at.  But this pattern of Leftists directly attacking our rights and authorities doing precious little about it cannot end well.
