Remember when Obama assured us Obamacare would not fund abortions?

The Obama administration has officially approved the first instance of taxpayer funded abortions under the new national government-run health care program. This is the kind of abortion funding the pro-life movement warned the kind of abortion funding the pro-life movement warned about when Congress considered the bill.
The Obama Administration will give Pennsylvania $160 million to set up a new “high-risk” insurance program under a provision of the federal health care legislation enacted in March.
It has quietly approved a plan submitted by an appointee of pro-abortion Governor Edward Rendell under which the new program will cover any abortion that is legal in Pennsylvania.
Of course, as a commenter at the above link points out, Obama – or anyone so morally bankrupt as to support taxpayer-funded abortion – telling a lie is not exactly a surprise.
It is sad we have a president this sorry.

Abortion is a LEGAL procedure in the United States, and Americans have the God-given ability to exercise their freedom. If health care covers medical procedures, and if an abortion is a medical procedure, where is the problem with a medical procedure being covered. What's the big fuckin deal?
To propose a blanket statement that all abortion is murder, or that women never have to have abortions to save their own lives is asinine, and simply untrue.

Leviticus 26 promises several dire consequences to a nation that violates GOD's LAW (the commandments about idolatry and behavior/morals, not the ceremonial law). One of them is that nation will be ruled by those that hate them. This has come to pass. Far too long the US has both practiced and exported sexual immorality and abortion. God always uses the Assyria/Egypt/Babylon to exact His discipline. Thus we see the rise and encroachment of the barbaric Mohammedans. One does not give place to the devil without paying a very high price incurring the loss of life and peace. Sin/evil always takes the blood and the life of those who commit it.

Very few abortions are necessary to save a woman's life. I never said none are. And I have no problem funding it when a woman's (physical) life is in danger.
So you can put away your straw men now.
As for what's the big effing deal, all abortions do take the lives of unborn children. That may not be a big deal to you, but it is to me, to most of my readers, and to the Lord as well.

Your comment, full of vile expletives and ill-will, is a very helpful and revealing illustration of the thoughts and motives of those who eschew life to embrace abortion.
1) Abortion is killing of an innocent.
2) Killing an innocent is always murder.
3) Having to decide between two imminent deaths where you can only save one and where taking no action will certainly cause both to die isn't murder. This situation is quite rare - when failing to save the life of the mother would also kill the baby anyway.
4) It's a great evil when one chooses abortion and it's not a "battlefield triage" situation as in 3) above.
5) It's a greater evil when society approves and accepts abortion.
6) Finally, when the Feds compel citizens to pay for abortion even when they object - we've been made complicit in the evil.
Obama - and the Congressional leaders who slipped this through while vigorously denying it in the face of strong evidence - are now exposed as filthy liars. Why are we delegating any power to them at all? Next up - "science-based" rationing of end-of-life health care. (But certainly not death panels...)
The elections are less than 4 months away. Pray that people come to see these actions as the Lord does and beg for mercy lest we be wiped from the face of the earth.
