Ohhh! The Abomination!

I dare you to watch all 1:09 of this abomination . . . if you can.  Pain!  Pain!

The Episcopal Church of Canada

No, the above title is not my snarky reference to the Anglican Church of Canada. It is the suggestion of a Canon in the said church for a change of name.

And, though for different reasons, I agree. The Anglican “Church” of Canada has much more in common with The Episcopal “Church” than with historic Anglicanism. So the suggested name would be more truthful than the current name.

See. I can be agreeable.

OUTRAGE: Koran read at installation of Huron Dean

The Anglican Church of Canada should do everyone a favor and stop claiming to be Christian, especially after their latest outrage. The Koran was read during the Installation of the new Dean of Huron Cathedral.

Nothing ticks me off like libchurchers pretending they are Christians while they commit such outrages against the faith.

To paraphrase Elijah, get off the fence! If the Lord is God, worship Him. If Allah or the Spirit of the Age or whatever is God, worship it. But do not even try to do both as a “church”. God will not let you get away with such damnable idolatrous fraud.

(Thanks to St. Nikao for bringing this to my attention.)

An Anglo-Catholic Slice of Life

To get an idea how lonely being an Anglo-Catholic can be, I recommend this slice of life over at Anglican Wanderings. Due to geography and the sorry state of the Anglican Church of Canada, the blogger’s parish is over a thousand miles from the next orthodox Anglo-Catholic parish. Yes, rather isolated.

When many Anglo-Catholics are isolated and often not exactly welcomed, one can understand why Pope Benedict’s invitation is . . . inviting.

Personally, if I had to choose between being a lonely Anglo-Catholic and crossing the Tiber, I would be a lonely Anglo-Catholic for reasons I may go into sometime. But I certainly understand those who would choose differently.

Victoria An Anglican Hotbed

I haven’t noticed before, but the news of St. Matthias Anglican of Victoria, B. C. joining the Anglican Network in Canada (ANiC) brings to my attention that Victoria is something of a hotbed of orthodox Anglicanism.

In addition to three ANiC parishes, Vancouver Island (not be confused with Vancouver the city which is on the mainland. Victoria is the chief city on the island.) also has a prominent REC parish, the Church of Our Lord, which hosted the REC General Counsel last year in Victoria.

And from attending that meeting, I know first hand that Victoria is a nice place to visit as well.

Anglican “Church” of Canada: Jesus Was a Racist

A Lenten devotion published by the Anglican “Church” of Canada pretty much says Jesus was a sinful racist.

Further comment from me on the continuing apostasy of said “church” would be superfluous.

Hat tip to Holy Smoke.
