As readers may have noticed, much has already been
written about the controversy surrounding Nashotah House’s invitation to
Presiding “Bishop” Katharine Jefferts Schori to preach. But I have yet to come across any
mention of 2nd John. Surely,
someone somewhere has mentioned that epistle in discussing this situation. But, again, I have not seen that.
I think St. John’s very relevant word about dealing
with false teachers is being neglected.
So I repeat it here. 2 John
9-11 (NASB):
Anyone who goes too far
and does not abide in the teaching of Christ, does not have God; the one who
abides in the teaching, he has both the Father and the Son. If anyone comes to you and does not
bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house, and do not give him a
greeting; for the one who gives him a greeting participates in his evil deeds.
Does any more really need to be said?

The ACNA is in an uproar, they can't support Nashotah house, the new Catechism has shown the door to reformed minded persons. Perhaps they can start their own seminary and it might be as succesful the correspondence course offered by the APCK or the stagnant one run by the REC?
