Silicon Valley COVID Political Fakery

If you watch any cable TV, you’ve seen, over and over, ads from Future Forward PAC blaming Trump for COVID. Funded by Silicon Valley, these ads feature supposed doctors who are oh-so concerned about Trump’s handling of the COVID pandemic.

Yesterday, while seeing one of these ads for the upteenth time on the Weather Channel, I lost it to the point where my neighbor messaged me to see if I was okay.  I just knew these doctors either were fakes or had zero ethics, and I had had enough.

Well look what I found out overnight about one of the “doctors,” one Eric Feigl-Ding.  He has a history of deceiving about his credentials.  He may play a medical doctor on TV in order to bash Trump, but he is no such thing.

At the beginning of 2020, Feigl-Ding was an unpaid, visiting scientist in Harvard’s nutrition department. His academic research centered entirely around nutrition, diet, and exercise. If Eric Feigl-Ding was interested in pandemics and the study of viruses, his research and academic credentials did not reflect that.

But note that doe not stop the Future Forward ad from touting him as an “epidemiologist.”  Yet he has already been exposed and warned to stop the deceptive self-promotion:

In mid March, Marc Lipsitch, a professor of epidemiology at Harvard, described him as a “charlatan exploiting a tenuous connection for self-promotion.”

The Association of Health Care Journalists also took notice, reporting that he has “precisely zero experience in infectious diseases.”

An unnamed source at Harvard told The Chronicle on Higher Education in April that Feigl-Ding has “been asked many times to stop promoting himself as having specialized knowledge.”

Yet, again, the Silicon Valley billionaries, not content with suppressing and censoring real information, participate in and push Feigl-Ding’s fakery:

Feigl-Ding has continued to muddy the waters surrounding his credentials, taking it to new heights in a new political advertisement. He recently appeared in a pro-Biden Super PAC (funded by Silicon Valley billionaires) ad about the coronavirus pandemic. It features “Dr” Feigl-Ding in a lab coat with tie ensemble that is associated with the attire worn by a medical doctor, not a PhD academic with a background in nutrition research.

If he is a PhD. Something that is real about Feigl-Ding is his connections to George Soros.  Is there anything evil that Soros is not involved in?

In 2018, he ran unsuccessfully for a congressional seat in Pennsylvania. Universal healthcare and medicare for all, or socialized medicine, was the centerpiece platform of his congressional run. According to Science Magazine, Feigl-Ding was supported in his run by political networks associated with far-left democrat mega donor George Soros, and FEC records reflect that. Feigl-Ding’s ties with Soros go back many years. In 2008, he received a Soros scholarship for his medical school studies (he would later drop out)….

Feigl-Ding remains closely connected to the Soros network. He currently serves as Treasurer of the The Paul and Daisy Soros Fellows Association (PDSFA).

All this begs the question of what other fakery and lies Soros and Silicon Valley money is pushing in this election.  At least now you know about the COVID lies from Future Forward.

About Justice and Jussie Smollett

How much can be said about Jussie Smollett getting off easy for his fake hate!  Something that hasn’t gotten much notice yet is that we can thank George Soros for this travesty:
Illinois Sunshine, which watches political donations to key races, shows more than $300,000 donations from Soros to Kim Foxx's "Illinois Safety & Justice PAC" which Foxx used to finance her defeat of Alvarez in 2016. Soros also contributed $75,000 to Foxx's PAC after the campaign had concluded, seeding her with money for her re-election.
But since I’ve been reflecting on justice lately, I will focus on some implications for justice of charges being dropped against Smollett:
1. This feeds and confirms the perception that we now have a two-tier justice system, one for elite Democrats and favored groups, another for the rest of us.
By the way, another case yesterday also confirms that.  The 9thCircuit Court of Appeals dismissed or, to be exact, will not allow Kate Steinle’s family to sue the City of San Francisco for being a sanctuary to killer illegal Garcia Zarate.  Zarate, you may remember, was not reported to ICE although he had a long rap sheet.  He then killed Steinle, but was acquitted. Apparently, illegals and those who enable them have far more rights under current two-tiered justice than American citizens.
2. The Smollett case is yet another strike against the myth of White Privilege.  Really, God help the next person who throws “White Privilege” at me, especially if it’s in a church context.
If a straight White guy wearing a MAGA hat had staged an supposed attack by a gang of Black Antifa men against him and was exposed for staging fake hate, do you think he would get charges dropped for $10,000 and “community service” at conservative groups?  The question answers itself.
There is some privilege going on here: Democrat Privilege and Hollywood Privilege. But I repeat myself.
3. This continues the pattern of Fake Hate going virtually unpunished.  And fake hate is a serious crime that harms society. It can result in real hate and riots.  The Ferguson riots were largely a result of the “Hands Up, Don’t Shoot” lie.  Fake hate feeds hate and grievances.  As well as framing the innocent as hateful predators, it does a grave disservice to those who are victims of actual hate.
I’ll be honest.  After years of fake hate, I’m at the point where I am quick to disbelieve allegations of hate.  So many times such allegations have been lies.  I’m not saying I should be that way, but when people cry wolf again and again, it makes one skeptical even though there are real wolves out there.
4. But, other than basic decency and self-respect, why should someone thinking of committing fake hate refrain when punishment for it is so light and rare (if one is of a favored “victim” group, of course)?
More could be said, but I will stop there.  The problems surrounding division and justice in this country are far bigger than the Jussie Smollett case.  But it sure does feed them.

About That Other California Prop (and George Soros)

No, this isn’t about that pot prop. This is about Proposition 20, which I’m glad to say passed. Yes, California actually did something right on Election Day, man.

Proposition 20 has a citizen’s commission do redistricting for congressional districts. (That is already the case for legislative districts.) Why is that important? California’s congressional delegation is one of the most gerrymandered in the nation. Politicians have *creatively* drawn districts to protect incumbents and elect Democrats.

Ever wonder why California sends so many Leftists and loons to Washington? Well, it is California, yes. But gerrymandering makes it worse. The districts are almost as absurd as the congressmen they elect. Taking redistricting out of the hands of politicians should make the districts slightly less silly.

An interesting cross-section of groups supported Prop 20, including some left-of-center groups such as Common Cause and the CA NAACP.

Prop 27 was also on the ballot. It would have returned redistricting to the politicians. It failed, I’m glad to report.

By the way, George Soros supported Prop 27. As if we need more proof he is evil incarnate. Yep, he is still busy trying to rig democracy.
