How can I beat this prediction?

This is a time when many make predictions for the coming year.  But a prediction I made last year was so good, there is no way I can top it.  So I simply say . . . I told you so . . . back in January 2016:

Can it be any clearer that a lot of people out there are angry at being unrepresented by the establishments of both parties?

So I’ve got a 2016 prediction you can add to the zillions you’ve heard already ‘cept mine is better.  2016 will be the Revenge of the Unrepresented.   One result will be the nomination of Donald Trump this summer or the defeat of Hillary Clinton this November.

And do not be too shocked if it will be both.

Dang, I’m good sometimes!

I hope all my good readers have a Happy New Year.

To prepare for the onslaught of lies against Jeff Sessions…

. . . I have come across no better prep for the DemocRAT lies sure to be told against Jeff Sessions next month than this long and thorough debunking - Dissecting Slander: The Untold Story of Jeff Sessions’ 1986 ‘Borking’.

I could and may say more, but if you care at all about who is Attorney General – and you should – read it.

Obama Imports More Terrorists

Obama seems determined to endanger us as much as possible before January 20th.

In the first 84 days of the 2017 fiscal year (October 1, 2016 - December 23, 2016), the Obama administration has accepted 25,584 refugees into the United States, according to data provided by the State Department.  Per Breitbart, compared to the same period in FY2016, that represents an 86% increase year-over-year.

And, yes…

…per data from the U.S. State Department, the overwhelming majority of refugees admitted into the U.S. over the past couple of months are coming from Syria, Iraq and Somalia...

Whom we know are all such lovely people.

At best, this is inexcusable recklessness that endangers American lives and will tax communities that much more with dangerous invaders.   Yes, that is what too many of them are.

But then the safety and freedom of American citizens has always been rather low on Obama’s list of priorities.

Christmas Has Begun.

In the Chapel of Kings,
a lone boy has sung.
The glorious feast of Christmas . . .

has begun.

Poor St. Thomas

Today is St. Thomas’ Day.  If you forgot that, it’s okay.  I suspect most years I forget also.  Thomas is surely used to the indignity by now anyway.

And placing his day right before Christmas is an invitation to forgetfulness.  What’s worse is the Book of Common Prayer collect.

ALMIGHTY and everliving God, who for the
more confirmation of the faith didst suffer
thy holy Apostle Thomas to be doubtful in thy
Son’s resurrection: Grant us so perfectly, and
without all doubt, to believe in thy Son Jesus
Christ, that our faith in thy sight may never be
reproved. Hear us, 0 Lord, through the same
Jesus Christ, to whom, with thee and the Holy
Spirit, be all honour and glory, now and for
evermore. Amen.

Nothing about his martyrdom or steadfastness or any “good example” of his.  Just “help us not to be a doubter like ‘thy holy Apostle Thomas’ there . . . the doubter. We really don’t want to embarrass ourselves right in front of thee like he did.”

It’s interesting that Cranmer completely rewrote the collect for the Feast of St. Thomas.  The previous Sarum collect did not mention his doubt at all and even holds forth his faith as an example to follow.  It seems Cranmer had it in for him or was in a mood when he got to that part of the BCP.

Well, by now Thomas is probably a good sport about it all – and that is surely a good example to follow.

Have a good St. Thomas’ Day.

Electoral College Thoughts

Well, yesterday Trump won, again, in the Electoral College.  I rather enjoy having a President-Elect who beats Democrats, is good at it, and enjoys it.  What a novelty!

Now whining whiners . . .
. . . whine about Hillary winning the popular vote.  But that only confirms the Founders’ wisdom in how we elect Presidents.  I, for one, do not want to be ruled by bigoted narrow cities and regions who either pad their DemocRAT vote totals with felons, illegals, and the departed, have profoundly un-American values, want to tell the rest of the nation how to run their lives, or all of the above.

And those regions are indeed narrow.  Here’s a good map to give an idea of that.
Someone who wants to be President of the United States needs to demonstrate to the electorate that they will indeed be President of the United States, not just of California (which alone provided Hillary her popular vote margin) and New York City and a few other Leftist hell holes.  We don’t need a POTUS who sees the rest of us as “deplorables.”  The Electoral College yesterday protected us from just that.

One last thought – I want those who threatened the lives of Electoral College Electors in prison.  I mean it.

Washington Post’s Dionne Pushes Coup

No, I am not going to link to the contemptible Washington Post or to its even more contemptible old DemocRAT hack E. J. Dionne.  But if you can stomach reading the column in question over at RealClear Politics, have at it.

It suffices to say Dionne is among the DemocRATS advocating a coup against Trump and the November election in the Electoral College.

Whenever Democrats ask for our votes in the future, remember Democrats have worked again and again to nullify our votes in the past . . . and now.

BLAME THE RUSSIANS!

Now Remoaners are blaming the Russians for Brexit.  I am not kidding.

According to a former Labour Member of Parliament, Russian hackers "probably" swayed the EU referendum vote in favor of Brexit. Because - as is all too clear by now - when all else fails, and one needs a scapegoat that is too amused to respond to silly allegations, just blame the Russians.

As SkyNews reports, leading Remain campaigner Ben Bradshaw has joined the parade, and questioned the validity of the stunning June result, claiming people were underestimating the extent of cyber warfare by Russian President Vladimir Putin. It was not exactly clear how Putin "hacked" the UK, or the millions who voted for Brexit, but we'll let that slide for now.

As will I.

Massive Election Fraud in Detroit? I’m shocked! Shocked!

Voting machines in more than one-third of all Detroit precincts registered more votes than they should have during last month’s presidential election, according to Wayne County records prepared at the request of The Detroit News.
Detailed reports from the office of Wayne County Clerk Cathy Garrett show optical scanners at 248 of the city’s 662 precincts, or 37 percent, tabulated more ballots than the number of voters tallied by workers in the poll books.

Again, Republicans not only have to gain more legit votes than Democrats; they have to get enough votes to overcome Democrook election fraud.  But that is exactly what Trump did in Michigan of all places.  A tip of the hat to him.

And a tip of the hat to the Instapundit.

Now Some Good News . . . In Other Words, Bad News For “Hamilton Electors”

After my fear and loathing yesterday, I feel I owe you a happy post today, so . . .

A federal judge on Monday rejected an attempt by two Colorado electors to unbind their votes in the Electoral College, saying the effort designed to impede Donald Trump’s path to the White House is “a political stunt.”

The treasonous coup plotters “Hamilton Electors” aren’t giving up yet, of course.  But so far those Electors defecting from Trump in the Electoral College appear to be so few, perhaps just one, that . . .

Right now, it appears that Hillary Clinton will lose more electors than will Donald Trump, which would be the most 2016 thing ever.

As if I’m not feeling warm and Christmasy enough already.

Are you going to blame the recount on the Russians, too?

Wisconsin's historic presidential recount ended Monday and resulted in a net gain of 131 votes for President-elect Donald Trump over Democrat Hillary Clinton . . .

Attempted Coup?: DemocRATS STILL Trying to Steal This Election

I do not think they will succeed.  But I have to admit I am more nervous than most.  Here are some of the latest goings-on in the attempt to delegitimize and steal the Presidential election:

In our initial take on the Washington Post's story about the "secret" CIA assessment that Russia helped Trump win the election (since contested by the FBI), we said that this may amount to nothing short of a "soft coup" attempt by leaders in the US Intel community and the Obama administration, and warned to expect of a push by prominent democrats to pressure the electoral college to "take into consideration" these findings next Monday, on December 19, when the formal vote for president is set to take place.
This is how we summarized the newly-formed narrative:
1     Announce "consensus" (not unanimous) "conclusion" based in circumstantial evidence now, before the Electoral College vote, then write a report with actual details due by Jan 20.
2     Put a proven liar - James Clapper - in charge of writing the report on Russian hacking.
3     Fail to mention that not one of the leaked DNC or Podesta emails has been shown to be inauthentic. So the supposed Russian hacking simply revealed truth about Hillary, DNC, and MSM collusion and corruption. . . .
To be sure, shortly after our post, first Paul Krugman, then other prominent liberals including Nate Silver and various House representative, validated out point: if Russia has indeed intervened, then the electoral college must be made aware, and briefed ahead of the Dec. 19 vote. It culminated with a Politico report on Saturday, according to which a Democratic congressman suggested that members of the Electoral College should be able to consider Russian interference in the presidential election — and whether it influenced the outcome — when deciding how to cast their vote.

Yes, it all sounds like conspiratorial crazy talk, I know.  But who expected such opposition and smoke around a clear and decisive election already?

The CIA has backed coups in other countries.  Now it seems the CIA is backing an attempted coup in the U. S.!

I’m afraid I’m only half-joking there.

By the way, this is an area in which both parties infuriate me.  If a Republican is elected fair and square, Democrats often attempt to delegitimize or even steal the election afterwards.  See the 2000 Presidential election and the 2008 Minnesota Senate election and . . .

On the other hand, if a Democrat is elected with the help of massive fraud, the Republicans play nice.  See the 2012 and 1960 Presidental elections.

That is one reason U. S. elections really are rigged – Republicans have to win votes well, heck, far beyond the margin of fraud and chicanery.  That Trump succeeded in doing so, save a successful coup, doesn’t end this perversion of our constitutional democracy.

By the way, this story is getting bigger faster than I can post this.  I'm thinking I should take that question mark out of the title.

Barack Obama, Champion of Clean Elections

He wasn’t concerned about illegals, felons, and dead people voting.  He didn’t mind the massive election fraud on his behalf in 2012.  His Justice Department opposed Voter ID at every turn.  But now that DemocRAT fraud wasn’t enough to steal the election for Hillary, he’s oh-so concerned those Rooskies hacked our election.

Housekeeping

Yes, I’ve been quiet lately on here.  I find that the times when I have the time and energy and motivation to make a post of any length are getting fewer and fewer.  And with my studies continuing, it may remain that way for a while.

I remember blogging away when I was studying at CMRS Oxford in 2007. How did I do that?

Anyway, I have decided to experiment with making more very short posts in the style of InstaPundit, a favorite blog.  I think that would go better with my current lifestyle and would make this blog more active.  We’ll see how that works.

Of course, I will occasionally still make a longer post.  You know how I am about ranting.

By the way, studies and life are going very well.  I hope you, too, are having a blessed Advent.

The Last Sermon of Presiding Bishop Royal Grote, R. I. P.

Friday morning, I was among the many who received the shocking news of the passing of Royal Grote, the Presiding Bishop of the Reformed Episcopal Church.  (My apologies for the delay in posting.  First, I was at a loss for words.  And then I lacked adequate internet.)

It was a particular shock to me as he stayed overnight at my house while visiting my parish this year, and his health seemed excellent.  Those I’ve touched base with yesterday agree that this was very sudden.

But it was peaceful.  He went to sleep and woke up in heaven.

Do pray for his family and many friends.  And pray for the Reformed Episcopal Church and for the Anglican Church in North America.  We have lost a humble and great laborer and saint.

His last sermon this past Sunday, the Sunday Next Before Advent, is perceptive and edifying as was typical of him.  I commend it to you.

Leftists Show How Much They Respect Constitutional Democracy and The Rule of Law

Liberals and Leftists have oft shown us how much they disrespect American Constitutional democracy and the rule of law.  Yes, some liberals and Leftists do respect the rules of the political process set up by our Constitution.  But they are few and getting fewer I’m afraid.

The response to the Gay Marriage ruling illustrated that.  How many on the Left were concerned about the Supreme Court running roughshod over Constitutional democracy?  How many were concerned about the stated danger to Freedom of Religion?  How many had the intellectual and ethical honesty to see the ends do not justify arbitrary tyrannical means?

That is just one episode.  We got another last night or several actually.  In cities across the country, Leftists protested against the undisputed results of a free election.

Let that sink in.

And not all the protests were peaceful.

Again and with emphasis, Leftists only respect constitutional democracy when they win.

Housekeeping: Due to a technical issue, I had to change the template of this blog.  There wasn’t too much damage, but my sidebar links were lost.

I think I will take the opportunity of this change and of the election to make some further changes.  I already find it necessary to post less frequently due to studies and other priorities.  That may continue.  So I will likely be more selective in posting, particularly on political matters.  Other venues are better for most political posts anyway.

I will also remake my link list at some point.

I hope my studies will equip me to focus this blog more on erudite and edifying considerations.  Right now, the time studies and life in general are taking is not allowing that as much as I want.

Speaking of which, back to the books.

Post-Election Thoughts

I’m somehow functioning this morning after what was an emotional roller coaster for me yesterday and last night.  So I guess I should remark on the election, but I will keep it in short bursts, perhaps adding this or that during the day.

It is nice to have some hope after a presidential election.  I forgot what that felt like.  No, last night does not cure all ills.  Yes, I know Trump is no perfect vessel.  And, as Ace and friends point out, we must continue to fight the Left and the Washington establishment, including the Republican establishment.  For “evil never rests.”  And the evil establishment (There. I said it.) will do all they can to once again thwart the will of the American people.  With Ace, “I'm tired of elections having consequences only if our side loses.”

It will be interesting to see how much the RINO GOP establishment tries to thwart Trump and his voters.  Has the GOP finally learned its lesson?  Their ignoring, hell, practically crapping on the Republican base and on right-thinking independents is what created Trump.  Do they hear us now?

And let there be no mistake.  Americans just gave the Establishment of both parties the biggest, fattest middle finger in history.  The Establishment asked for it and deserved it.  This country badly needed it.  And I rejoice in it!

----

It will be nice to pray for my President during the Daily Office with a whole heart.  I’ve forgotten what that felt like, too.

----

What makes Trump’s victory all the more impressive is he overcame attempts to rig the election.  There is no question there was election fraud.  For one instance, a Virginia friend of mine of impeccable honesty tried to vote yesterday.  He could not because someone had stolen his name to vote absentee.

The only question is how massive was the fraud.  It wasn’t massive enough for Hillary.  Good!

---

In her overdue concession speech, Hillary uses that “freedom of worship” bit again.  It’s FREEDOM OF RELIGION!

Thank God that tyrannical crook was defeated.

Worst Case Scenario Revisited

Last month (while Hillary was still well ahead in the polls, by the way), I set forth the unpleasant possibility of a worst case scenario for the election tomorrow, of Hillary winning (which is unpleasant enough already), but with such a narrow margin in a key state or two that questions arise of whether vote fraud won it for her.

And there is ample reason to believe there has already been a lot of vote fraud and other election rigging.  Clinton Crime Family member Gov. McAuliffe of swing state Virginia has restored voting “rights” to 60,000 felons.  President Obama has openly encouraged illegals to go ahead and vote - you’ll get away with it.  Yes, I didn’t believe it at first either, even from Obama, but watch for yourself.

And that is just for starters.  I will go so far to opine that if Hillary’s “victory” margin is “winning” one or two states by less than 5,000, I can just about guarantee you election rigging “won” it for her.  Further, I have a hard time seeing how Hillary can win a clean election now.  The Trump momentum and enthusiasm is that strong.  So guess what the Clinton Crime Family is willing to do to win?

If that happens . . . well, I’m afraid to go much into possible consequences in print.  This country is so divided and angry, no telling what a stolen election or the perception thereof would bring about.

Pray for America.

-----

I may liveblog the election tomorrow night with the assistance of ale, but I’m not sure I will have the heart or even the ale for that.  I will surely be posting a lot on my twitter feed.  But be warned that can be a slightly higher temperature than this blog.

Vote in Self-Defense

I noted yesterday that Hillary clearly is not running to be President of Deplorable Americans but only of those roughly 40% who can stomach her and especially of those who have bought her.

Her open attacks on the Deplorables who dare to support Trump are something I cannot remember from a Presidential candidate in my lifetime.

And these attacks will surely not remain merely rhetorical under a Clinton presidency.  The Obama Regime attacked opponents, IRS targeting being only the most infamous of the attacks.  Those attacks will continue and likely get worse under Clinton.

And, Christian, you are in the crosshairs as well.  Hillary has used the weasel phrase “freedom of worship” instead of freedom of religion. “Freedom of worship” translated means you can worship in private as you please (maybe), but forget about the freedom to live out your antiquated bigoted religious convictions publicly.  So pay for abortions and bake me a gay wedding cake while you’re at it, peon.

I know some Christians have having trouble voting for Trump.  As one who supported Rand Paul, then Walker, then Fiorina, then Cruz, trust me, I understand!

But there are times when we have to do what we would rather not do to defend ourselves, our families, and our friends.  That is why we have militaries and why many of us own guns.  I don’t want to shoot anyone, but if a home invader crashes through my door when I’m home, he will be lucky to leave my home alive.  That doesn’t make me a bad Christian who devalues life; that makes me a Christian who values the life God gave me.  Leaving (mistaken) arguments for pacifism aside, there are times to defend ourselves by measures we would rather not have to take.

Now is such a time.

I didn’t want to vote for Trump at all a few months ago either.  Yes, I did consider going third party.  But this week I voted for Trump in early voting.  Hillary and the Clinton Crime Family – and don’t be naïve, they are criminals – consider decent Americans, especially traditional Christian Americans, their enemies.  And they will use the raw power of the Federal Government to attack us “deplorables” and our freedoms, just as Obama did and more.

This is not time for ethical fastidiousness or of pious passivity.  (And, yes, I am seeing too much of that from Christian friends.)  This is a time to stand up for your freedom and for the freedom of your friends and family and, yes, of your church.  That vicious vindictive criminal tyrant Hillary Clinton must be stopped for the sake of church and country.

You don’t like Trump?  Fine.  But vote for Trump anyway . . . in self-defense.

Deplorables 2 and What Hillary Really Is Running For

Overnight, Hillary once again let it be known what she really thinks of Trump supporters.

If her screeching is NSFW, she said, “I am sick and tired of the negative, dark, divisive, dangerous vision and the anger of people who support Donald Trump.”

Quite a follow up to her “Basket of Deplorables” remarks a few weeks ago, is it not?

Has there ever been a presidential candidate who has so openly attacked law-abiding citizens?

If it hasn’t become clear already, it is certainly clear now – Hillary is not running for President of the United States.  She is running to be President of the 40% who can stomach her, especially those who have her bought.  The rest of us, especially Trump supporters, are deplorable, negative, dark, divisive (Irony anyone?), dangerous, angry enemies . . . or at the very least not supporters of the Clinton Crime Family.

And we know what crime families do to those who refuse support.

Those who think it wise to be a Never Trumper need to think again.  I may expand on that tomorrow.

The Fix or Panic? . . . Or Both?

Well, after all these months of dragging their feet about investigating Hillary Clinton, NOW Obama’s Department of “Justice” wants to expedite a new investigation of Hillary’s e-mails discovered on the laps of the lovely Huma-Weiner couple.  Gosh, I wonder why the change of heart?

And look who’s is in charge of that – one Peter Kadzik who has a long record of being involved in cleaning up the Clinton’s messes.  So don’t be surprised if an announcement comes from the DOJ before Election Day: “Nothing to see here.  Move along and vote for Hillary.”

It will be interesting to see how much the FBI goes along with such a charade.  FBI Director Comey already has defied AG Loretta Lynch on this matter once.  At the same time, it would not surprise me if he would take the opportunity to wash his hands of this.

No so by the way, I suspect one reason Obama’s DOJ is rushing to fix this matter is panic.  And I fully understand if the DemocRATS are panicking; I really do.  If the perpetually rigged ABC-Washington Post poll now has Trump ahead, you know Hillary is in trouble.

Tony Blair Wants Another Vote On Brexit, Of Course

Back in June, I warned:

By the way, my UK friends, if you vote incorrectly to actually leave the EU and manage to outvote the . . . Remain camp, you will have to vote again until you vote correctly.

Now guess what Tony the Traitor Blair wants?

The former Prime Minister said voters must be given the chance to change their minds on the EU and called for the losing Remain campaign to become the 'new insurgents'.
He wants a referendum to be held on the final deal Theresa May secures with Brussels before Britain officially leaves.

The UK cannot get out of the anti-democratic EU fast enough.  And let Tony Blair cross the channel and stay in the EU . . . for good.

DePaul Bans “Unborn Lives Matter” Posters

I present this as a sample of the mad speech-squelching evil occurring on college campuses - and as a sample of how “Catholic” institutions are running with said evil.

The President of DePaul, no less, banned “Unborn Lives Matter” posters because . . . bigotry.  I am not kidding nor exaggerating.

From President Rev. Dennis H. Holtschneider:

DePaul is a private Catholic institution, and we also are part of the academy.  By our nature, we are committed to developing arguments and exploring important issues that can be steeped in controversy and, oftentimes, emotion.  Yet there will be times when some forms of speech challenge our grounding in Catholic and Vincentian values.  When that happens, you will see us refuse to allow members of our community to be subjected to bigotry that occurs under the cover of free speech.

Thus the “Unborn Lives Matter” posters are supposedly “bigotry . . . under the cover of free speech.”

I have no polite words.

I could wax vehement on how such conduct by “Catholics” has affected my attitudes towards the Roman Catholic Church even from my youth.   But that would be a long post or two, trust me.  I’ll just say I find it better at this time to return my attention to Anglican studies.

P. S. I forgot to mention that "Black Lives Matter" posters hang in administrative windows at DePaul.  But that's not Black Racism or a double standard.

The bigot in this episode is "Rev." Dennis H. Holtschneider.
