common market, with open trade and open borders…”
That would be societal
suicide. Any nation with generous
welfare benefits that allows just anyone to come in is inviting masses of
people who want those benefits but who care nothing for and even oppose the
culture of the host nation. De
facto open borders has thereby already deAmericanized California with
destructive consequences, has done great harm to the United States as a whole,
and has done great harm to the UK.
The United States is on the
brink of losing its civic culture, the Constitution, and the rule of law - with
open borders being an important culprit.
And isn’t that slightly
more important than Trump’s locker room talk?

Note: I find Trump’s words
11 years ago offensive. I’ve never
talked about women that way myself and have found such talk repugnant for as
long as I can remember. But the
dominant lack of perspective about said words is even more disturbing.
