I swear by it.

I also take Nasonex, but it doesnt seem to take care of all my symptoms on some days. That's when I supplement with either of the above.

--PeggyAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6468413.post-51196642700019280652008-02-29T09:13:00.000-06:002008-02-29T09:13:00.000-06:00The best medical treatment for nasal allergies is ...The best medical treatment for nasal allergies is a nasal corticosteroid (like Flonase) used daily and the oral antihistamines (Claritin, Allegra or Zyrtec) used for breakthrough symptoms. Most patients want do it the opposite way, take the pill daily and use Flonase optionally. The nasal corticosteroids really don't even start kicking in for several days.

Adding nasal saline makes the nasal corticosteroid more effective. Rinse the nose with the saline (salt water) first, then the nasal spray. I recommend Niel-Med Sinus Rinse which is a squeeze bottle and salt packs.

Lastly, you probably would benefit from allergy testing and shots. The best time to start is the winter months. Don't let them test you for food allergies. Skin testing for foods is very unreliable (~50% accuracy, I can get that accuracy from flipping a coin).

Any other questions can be sent by private message to robroy at SF or Titus.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6468413.post-55341819750164402932008-02-28T17:33:00.000-06:002008-02-28T17:33:00.000-06:00I had my first bout of hayfever today. The only solution seems to be easing the itching with a lot of hot fruit tea.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6468413.post-73210312039736499072008-02-28T14:16:00.000-06:002008-02-28T14:16:00.000-06:00I'll trade you your Zyrtec for my anti-inflammator...I'll trade you your Zyrtec for my anti-inflammatory.
